Well. We're finally done. Go me :D

I should address the many lies I told you when I began writing. No, I did not succeed in entering this into the Open Novella Contest in the slightest. Yes, it did turn out twice as long as I originally planned and is now very much a novel. Yes, maybe I did get a tiny little bit obsessed with it at times but come on that was mostly just Micah and Corinne being the best ship because I love them okay--

However!! I did at least achieve in making it a standalone :DD There will be no sequel to The Heart Of Asariel. Probably. Maybe. I'll do my best.

I'm very aware of how messy this book turned out, but it was a blast to write anyway. I took the 'it's only a first draft' excuse and ran with it. But I am pleased to have it completed, and I'm looking forward to smoothing out those plot inconsistencies and rewriting it sometime in the future. THoA has, rather fittingly, wriggled its way into my heart, and it isn't going anywhere. It might be nice to have a novel in my back pocket that isn't an epic 100k+ high fantasy lol.

Other Stuff

I have a few more things to say before I collapse into a puddle and melt as much as Micah after being kissed by Corinne!!! Firstly, I have, for the second time, finished a book just in time to enter the Wattys, so I plan on doing that. I'm highly expecting THoA's first draftiness will prevent it getting anywhere close to winning, but hey, I might as well take a shot. I can make the judges suffer Micah's stupidity I guess.

Also!!!! I have a reader's discord -- or, well, a little corner of one that I share with a few other talented writers -- that you can join :D I'll yeet the link here. I can't promise you won't get tired of me rambling about my other project, A Touch Of Darkness, but there's Micah and Corinne content buried in there too. I'm even starting to attempt art, so you might find some of my scribbly drawings, as well as the occasional bonus oneshot, much character brainrot--I mean fun facts, and plenty of incorrect quotes. It's fun :D
