Charles POV I watched as my wife laughed with her cousin, George, the decidedly ugly (Henry would not be pleased) Anne of Cleves watching. I saw the smile on her face, the way she looked at him with true adoration in her blue eyes, and felt a stab of jealousy. I knew if I commanded them to part, Lia would disobey me. I watched as he took her hand, guiding her towards a pretty girl who I knew to be Catherine Howard, George's sister and my wife's cousin and dear friend. Catherine hugged Cecilia tightly, a grin of joy on Cecilia's face as George looked on, smiling. I knew they were both coming to back to court with us, I imagined them walking through the gardens together, Cecilia laughing and her eyes shining in a way I couldn't make them shine, them reading together, George in the middle holding the book, Catherine and Cecilia at either side. I wanted her to love me in the way she loved them. I looked at George brushing Cecilia's annoyingly long (still not put up) hair out of her face, and felt jealousy, anger and possessiveness churn around inside of me.
