Ch. 6 - Back to present day

4pm,

Karan and Monami were both in their Academy quarter when Ustaad ji came running finding Karan...✨

Ustaad ji - (He was breathless from all the running) Sir..ji...Si..rjii vo

Karan - Kya hua Ustaad ji?? Aap aise??

Ustaad ji - Vo Sirjii ek cadet ki tabiyat kharab ho gai hai...Or aaj humare pass koi doctor nahi hai sirf nurse hai dispensary mein...Maine bahar bhi phone kia par doctor ko aane mein time lagega...Aap chaliye na sath mein please

Karan - Hanji chaliye

Both Karan and Ustaad ji left in a hurry and though Monami doesn't practice anymore, but still being a doctor her inner concious made her follow them...So she too rushed to the cadet behind them...✨

Soon Karan entered the dispensary with Ustaad and Monami too came behind them but stood at the gate only...✨

Karan - Hanji nurse, kya hua hai??

Nurse - Sir dehydration ka case hai?? Maine koshish ki hai stable karne ki, but bahot weak hai patient and mujhse sachme iss time stable nahi ho rha...Maine humesha doctor ki guidance mein hi kaam kia hai

Karan sighed,

Karan - Ustaad ji call kariye doctor ko... Puchiye kitna time lagega

Ustaad ji - Ji Sirjii

He left from their while Monami just stood on the gate, pressing her fingers nervously...Karan slowly turned only to find Monami standing on the gate with little shivering hands...If this would have been earlier he would have on the blink of an eye asked her to see the patient but now it's different...He knows that she will not be able too...Her hands shiver now from the all the anxiety and she doesn't practice anymore...💔

He sighed and turned back to the nurse,

Karan - Kya condition hai abhi??

Nurse - Sir he's in a bad shape...He needs medical attention asap

Karan sighed and fisted his hands in frustration... While the nurse was finding something,

Karan - Do you need help??

Nurse - Sir I can't find the specific vial...I can't even find an alternative

While Karan sighed helplessly, Monami slowly walked forward and spoke lightly...At first no one heard her but Karan did...He immediately turned to her, she was saying something looking straight at the patient...✨

Karan - Umm kya bol rhi ho??

Monami - Umm vo...Us..ka alternative...You can use that...Au..r...Aur saline

She said blankly looking at the nurse...Karan was shocked for once, but then a little proud smile appeared on his face...The nurse immediately started finding it...✨

Nurse - Yeaahh...Thank you doctor

Monami nodded lightly with an expressionless face, still looking at the patient... While Karan was just looking at Monami, he was dancing in his heart...After months he saw a little jhalak of his real Rani Sahiba...That was a doctor before anything else, before a special agent, before a wife, She was always a doctor and he saw that today...This little thing of her made him proud of her again and a sweet smile crept on his face...♥️

Soon the nurse gave that injection and started saline on the patient...Karan was their only standing in the dispensary while Monami quietly left from there breathing heavily...She came out of the dispensary and was trying hard to catch her breath...She was shivering, her hands, her legs...She was trembling...💔

Now these are 2 parallel scenes happening at the same time...✨

As soon as the patient stabilized, Karan turned back to thank Monami but to his surprise, she was already gone...He slowly walked out to find where she was...✨

While Monami was in a corner, breathing heavily...She took a plastic container of pills from her pocket and with shivering hands she opened it and swallowed 2 pills...She then looked around to check if someone saw her or not...Karan immediately hides behind the dispensary door...He saw everything...He knew she would be restless right now...She gets anxiety now just from being where once she was the Head Doctor...She lived there and now she can barely breath in there...✨

I know now you guys will ask me why was he hiding from her?? Haina...Toh see he knows everything, for her she thinks that no one knows her anxiety and no one knows that she takes pills but Karan do knows...Isliye he wasn't shocked to see that, he knows everything...He came to know about this 3 months before and the day he saw her taking pills for the first time at home...He secretly took the pills to her doctor and asked her what were these?? Who then told him that they were anxiety pills and considering her condition if she's taking it once in a while, then it's okay...Also considering she herself is a doctor, the doctor told him that I don't think that Monami will mis - use it...So yes, from that day he knows but he doesn't let her know that...He wants her to feel that he considers her as normal as possible...✨

Monami soon composed herself by taking deep breaths and walked back towards their quarter...Karan too stood hiding there for a minute then went behind her...✨

Karan - Monami??

Monami turned back,

Monami - U..mm hmm??

Karan - Vo pateint stabilise ho gya

Monami nodded lightly and started walking again...Karan too started walking back with her...✨

Karan - Umm thank you 

Monami forced a smile and nodded...Karan too smiled lightly and wrapped his arms around her as they walked back to their quarter...✨

Karan - Kahi chale?? 

Monami - Umm kaha?? Kyu??

Karan - Aise hi...Aaj mein khush hu bas

Monami smirked and turned to him while walking...✨

Monami - Kahi jaane ki kya zarurat hai...Aaj tum mujhe company dedo wine mein?? (She said in a low voice)

Karan's smile vanished and his eyes widened...He lightly held her arm and pulled her closer after looking around...✨

Karan - Tum fir le aai andar?? Mana kia tha maine uss din (He asked in a low but stern voice)

Monami lightly freed herself from his grip and continued walking...✨

Karan - Monami??? Monami (He called her again)

She sighed, made a face and turned back...✨

Monami - Mazak tha Khadoos Shergill...Don't wry yaad hai mujhe ki yaha tum mere pati se pehle yaha ke head ho 😒🙂

She said with a straight face taunting Karan, Karan rolled his eyes and came walking upto her...✨

Karan - Ho gya tumhara?? 

Monami smiled lightly and nodded...✨

Monami - Han aaj ke liye

Karan shook his head on her antics and finally they reached back to their room...✨
