"Zed! I know who I am." Addison said hugging everyone.
"Y/n-" Addison said hugging me.
I turned around and quickly hugged A-lan then let go.
Before he could say anything, A-spen pulled something out.
"We found these luma lens on the scout ship. It belonged to your grandmother." Aspen said handing one to me and one to Addison.
It began to light up as soon as it landed in Addisons hand.
I held it slowly in my hand and the same thing happened to me.
"Now do you possess our spark. Can you lift the Luma lens?" Al-li asked.
I concentrated really hard.
It managed to lift above my hand.
But for Addison nothing happened. Addison tried her hardest but nothing happened.
"Uh,I—I can't."
As soon as A-lan saw that I managed to lift it I saw a huge smile spread across his face.
Although when that happened. I felt something in me drop. I can't leave seabrook. It's my home. Wether I'm human or not. Everyone I care about is here, I can't imagine leaving them.
A-spen broke my train of thought.
"Our relationship with stardust defines us. Our technology would not work for you. It would only work for Y/n"
"You cannot share in our telepathy."
"Nor survive travel with us."
"No, no this who I am. This is where I belong. It all makes sense!" Addison shouted.
I frowned.
"I'm sorry you do not have our spark. You're not truely one of us." A-spen said.
I pulled Addison into hug.
"Right, yeah, sorry."
Addison ran off.
Zed ran after her.
"I feel deep sorrow." Aspen said.
A-lan nodded. I hugged him from behind.
He gave me a shy smile.
"Wait. The scouts trophy contains materials from our planet." Ali said.
"What could be more precious then an artifact from our home world." Aspen said.
"The map is there. We must win that trophy." Alan said smiling.
I sat next to Addison on her bed.
We flipped through the picture book.
"Where did you hide the map grandma?" I heard Addison ask.
Addison held the luma lens in her hand again and smiled.
"Mom, where was grandma Angie from?" Addison said.
"Seabrook, dear. Born and raised. Why?"
"Because, uh.. nevermind."
"Good night."
"Night."
"Attention, everyone. If Zed can prove that monsters are exceptional, doors will open for all of us!" Eliza yelled.
"You're gonna ace your driver's test, zom-boo.but right now focus, Zed needs us" Bree said.
"All right everyone listen up. We only get one shot. Zeds interviewer, is gonna be here in an hour."
"Who's early?" Eliza said.
"Uh-oh" I said.
"Seabrook we have a problem."
"What she's early!" Zed said.
