~Maya's Pov~
"Yesterday, I came into possession of another Malivore artifact." Alaric announced, I was so drained from earlier that I couldn't even keep my head up.
Alaric wanted to make another quick announcement because one of the kids had a nightmare I guess.
"You okay?" I turned my head and noticed Rafael, I smiled and nodded.
Me and Rafael decided to put our differences aside and become friends, we been hanging out for weeks without anyone really knowing.
"Yeah, just tired. You know, from saving our best friend." He chuckles then scoots closer towards me, I smiled as I continued to listen to Alaric's boring speech.
"It was my hope to find a method of containment before it signaled another monster, but given the emergency meeting I've just called, I'm sure you can guess how well that went." I scoffed, I swear this school isn't safe at all for us or humans. It's just a jail to keep the supernatural in.
Which is why I didn't want to come here, I just wish mom and dad would listen to me about it.
I soon heard students murmuring, I was so sleepy at this point that I didn't even realized that I was on Rafael's shoulder. I look up at him from my position and smiled.
"Oh, sorry man." I mutter out, quietly yawning as I move my head from his shoulder, slowly trying to wake myself up.
"It's all good, you need your sleep." He said while smiling at me, I shook my head while grinning.
"Do you see Hope anywhere?" I heard Landon asked, I turn my head and shrugged then looked at Rafael. I sigh and started drifting off.
I really wanna call my mom or Chelsea, I am sick of being here and worrying about this stupid ass monsters, I miss pretending to be fucking human.
I then started seeing some people leave so I quickly got up and left.
"Later Raf, sleep tight wolfie." I smile as I walk away, excited to go back to sleep and dream about being corndog again.

~Rafael's Pov~
'What did she just call me? Did she call me Wolfie?'
I slowly look down while smiling from the nickname, feeling nothing but happiness when I think about the girl. Then I felt a hard punch on my arm, I groan as I turned to see who it was.
It was Landon....
"Ow! W-Why did you punch me man." He scoff then points towards Maya. I turn my direction towards her, smiling once again as I watch her walk away.
I watch as she struts off into the school hallways, has she always walked like that ?
"What about Maya" Landon shakes his head, slowly walking in front of me.
