There are moments in life no one can ever forget. No matter what they might do. Some people recall the saddest, worst moments of their lives. Some tend to look back on the better ones. The happy ones. The moments when they felt the happiest.

When they felt content.

The moments, where even the slightest of nostalgia, bring the most beautiful smile on people.

James always looks back on the happy ones.

James and nova can still feel the sand in their feet when they first met. They both can recall the exact feeling they felt towards each other when they first met.

James felt confusion. At the girl in front of her, who had the fiercest eyes he had ever seen. the most beautiful, as they were lightened by the sun, and looked nothing less than the golden sun.

Especially why she seemed to be murdering him with her eyes.

Nova had felt anger. And annoyance. At the boy with the brightest color of hair. The bluest blue of the morning sky and brightest purple she had seen on anyone's hair. The purple roots seemed to dissolve into the electric blue on the strands. The hair somehow made her angrier.

Angry at the fact that the boy was holding on to the bag of her snacks.

"those are" she pointed at the bag in his hands, gritting the words out, "mine."

James scrunched his nose in confusion. "no they aren't."

Nova has had a bad day and the bright boy put a cherry on top of her anger. Especially the blatant denial of an obvious theft.

"no! They're mine!" she surged forward to grab them but the boy pulled his back as quickly.

He took a few steps back. "what the hell? They're mine."

Nova wasn't having any of it. She stepped forward and before James could react she pushed him, making him fall on the sand with a soft thud.

She picked up her snacks. "these are mine!" She flipped her shoulder long hair aggressively. "maybe you should think of covering that highlight of a head before you steal in broad daylight!"

Now, James was flabbergasted. He didn't even attempt to move from the place he fell. "steal!? I didn't steal them! If anything you're the one who's mugging me! In broad daylight!"

Nova scoffed and turned away from him. Having nothing to say as she walked away from the baffled boy in the sand. The triumph of her victory over a thief didn't last long as when she finally reached where her family sat, she saw another bag of snacks. Somehow both hers and the bag she was holding had the exact same things.

"what the heck?" her brother had asked. "why'd you go and buy more things? You didn't even start these?"

To say this was the most embarrassing moment in her life would've been an understatement. Her cheeks still turn bright red whenever James mentions how they had met first. She would throw pillows on his face whenever he mentions how adorable and red her face was when she had walked back to the same spot she pushed him. The spot where he hadn't bothered to move from because he had never had someone accuse him of theft before. He loved teasing her about how she wouldn't meet his eyes when she had dropped the bag beside where he lay in the sand. How much she fidgeted when she apologized to him and how she somehow blushed, even more, when he had complimented her eyes and asked for her number.
