Imagination

I want you to imagine an all-white room with nothing but a table and a chair.

You enter the room and close the door behind you.

You go to sit in the chair and as you rest in it, your favourite meal is sitting directly in front of you.

As you look at this meal, you realise how hungry you are but there is a problem...

This meal in front of you has a note on the front of the dish.

On the note it says;

DO NOT CONSUME. THE MEAL IS POISONED!

You read this and think for a moment but your stomach growls loudly.

There is no other meal or food in the area.

What do you do?

You make the decision to leave the room.

Once you leave you see a long corridor painted in the same all-white walls.

You don't know when the corridor will end but you walk down it anyway.

As you walk, more of your favourite meal appears beside you.

It still reads;

DO NOT CONSUME. THE MEAL IS POISONED!

Now what do you do?

The smell fills your lungs and alerts your stomach which is in pain now.

You are hungry.

You are starving.

You run down the corridor to escape the meal present but it appears as fast as you run.

Many rapidly through the halls.

The rise of panic fills your empty stomach.

You trip and fall directly on top of the dish of your favourite food.

You close your mouth tightly so as to not consume any poison.

You get up and wipe as much food off of you as possible.

You are still hungry.

What do you do?

All through your mind, you say,

It is poisoned! It is poisoned! It is poisoned!

I must not eat it! It is poisoned! I can't eat it! It is poisoned!

You continue walking down the corridor and it seems as if you're going nowhere.

You look behind you and see a massive pile of poisoned food slowly closing in.

You run away again, trying desperately to get away.

You keep running and never look back.

The longer you run, the more painful and hungry you become.

The smell captivates you as you try your best to ignore it.

You stop to catch your breath.

The food keeps multiplying faster than you can run.

What do you do now?

What I would do is nothing. The food won't escape and you can't run that fast from it. You can't eat it even if you're starving. Walking away is the only option. Walk until you starve to death.

This is what it's like being suicidal.

You can't run from your thoughts. They'll always be there but the best option is to walk away and distract yourself from them. The desire is needy and grows once bad things happen but you still have to walk otherwise it consumes you.

It starts with a room but that room turns into a never-ending corridor. The only question is what do you do? You ask yourself, what do you do with it?

Don't eat the meal.
