"Aren't you enjoying the Blood Moon Calliope?" Elias asked in a creepy tone in his normally soft voice. I swallowed hard, something was wrong with Elias. He turned to me fully with a symbol on his neck cracking like a broken plate. He let out a laugh "You know the beautiful thing about the blood moon, it brings out any hidden form of a being." I looked at my hand as the black color started to form on my hand I pulled my sleeve down to cover my hand. I stepped closer to him when I felt a hand on my shoulder
"Cal move!" Val shoved me out of the way as I heard a gunshot and a golden streak hit Val in the arm. In Elias's hand was a dark blue and black gun, I looked down at Val's arm he was bleeding really bleeding.
"Val, are you alright?" I frantically asked wrapping my coat around his arm stopping the bleeding.
"Fine. Get out of here." Luke and Finn rushed over quickly arming themselves with weapons. Finn had an emerald colored gun while Luke had a long black blade in his hand.
"Elias we gotta put you back in your chains for a little bit longer." Luke said launching at his brother only to miss. Elias quickly grabbed me and disappeared. We reappeared in a classroom, Elias looked down at me a wicked smile on his face, it wasn't like Elias. I fumbled around trying to arm myself, I needed a weapon or something of us.
"VAL!" I shouted I heard shouts and then Val launched through window toppling his brother, I looked at the shattered glass around me. I saw my light tan skin quickly turned as black as my shadow. I felt something appear in my hand, a knife. I got up shakely looking at myself in a mirror seeing black curl like line coming up my neck. Elias kicked Val into the mirror and turned to me going to bite my neck, I held the knife out and felt it go through something. I started to cry as I looked up at Elias, his eyes were still red yet he was crying.
"You must be Calliope." the deep wrasping voice assumed I started to shake as he backed away the stab wound still in his gut.
"I'm sorry you scared me." he laughed and kissed my forehead
"No I'm sorry for scaring you again." I heard  Val groan as he got up. I collapsed to the floor the chain shattered the cross fell onto the floor with a clink. I stood up still crying, I had killed someone. I never fought back, I believed words or dicussions were the way to resolve conflicts. But I just took a life in cold blood, and someone you confided in me and protected me. I should've listened to the Father I was a monster, I couldn't be here. They wouldn't want me after this. My hands were still shaking violently, my body started to move on it's own towards Val he stood up blood on his cheek from the impact as blood stained his white hair. I couldn't control my own body, I launched at Val with the knife. He grabbed my arm and pulled me into a hug as I tightly held the knife
"I'm right here." my knee's gave out as I dropped the knife falling to the ground as Val put the rosary back together putting it around my neck as I cried into his shoulder his arm still bleeding and broken and the impact from the mirror causing blood to drip down his face but we didn't move.
"I didn't mean too." I said my voice shaking and horse from crying
"Don't worry, it takes alot more than that to kill Elias." Val assured helping me to my feet, I looked up at the moon, the bright red color from before had faded to a light red color almost back to the silver color. Elias started to get up shakily the stab wound covered itself with a black substence. I stepped back, Val held up the gun again infront of me pointing it Elias. Elias started to laugh, a wicked evil laugh,
"You think you can kill me. I have her soul, until that moon sets I'm like this Calliope. You said you wanted to help them give me your soul." the cross's gem started to glow with white light and give off waves of energy,
"If that's what you want, I'm afraid I already know who is going to get it." the closer I got to him the more the rosary's magic affect him. Elias needed to go back to normal, this wasn't him. It was a dark side of him that I was afraid of, but not for the fact he could kill me or take my soul but more for the fact I could tell Elias was afriad as well. A white barrier suddenly containing Elias disappeared sending us back, Val raised his gun again I put my hand on the barrel
"We can't hurt him." I insisted, Val nodded. I placed my hand on his chest where his heart would be. He growled, grabbing my wrist and snapping it. I tried not to scream "Elias, listen to me. I'm still here, I'm not leaving you like this." I said trying to make him calm down, Elias's eyes slowly went back to normal tears falling down his face as he collapsed into my arms. After that night Elias spent most of his time apologizing to me while Charlie and her parents tried to put a protective barrier around the house. I packed most of my backs looking down at the rosary, the bat on my window chirped "I didn't expect for this to be so hard." I muttered throwing my bag over my shoulder before walking down the stairs. I found Val's room and slipped a note under the door, same with the others. I went to open the door and looked at the house one last time. I walked down the road and found the church and opened the door finding a nun at a pew. I sat down next to her
"What bothers you my child?" She asked I clutched my rosary
"I made mistakes sister, god I believe isn't even protecting me anymore." The sister looked and me and shook her head
"Those who wear a rosary proudly are sure to be in god's hand." She ended the conversation when the other nuns called her into another room. I walked up to the cross at the front of the church
"Father, why did you give me this burden? I'm not even sure I'm your child." I looked down at the symbols on my wrist. The morning sun shone through the colorful stain glass shining on my wrist in beautiful blue shades. "Is it okay for me to have these feelings for someone who isn't human?"
"It's love, it doesn't matter." A voice said I looked around until I saw at the back of the church Val leaning against the church door.
"Val, how did you find me? Wait you can't be out in the first light-" Val put his hand up showing on his forearm a cross with a circle.
"You led me here. I know you feel safe in churches." Val's head was still bandaged and had bags under his eyes.
"I-I'm not sure if I'm safe." He chuckles and put a hand on my cheek and leaned his head against mine
"I thought the same thing, but I'm sure we'll keep each other safe." I smiled and he led me out of the church. I still didn't know how to face Elias, my wrist still wasn't fully healed. Val grabbed my hand not making eye contact
      "What's wrong?" I asked
"Your slow." I chuckled trying to walk fast before I knew it my feet were off the ground. I smiled looking down at Val who was the reason I hadn't floated away. Val stumbled back letting go though I didn't float away
"Val! I'm flying!" I exclaimed doing a loop he got up
"I-I can see that, come on. Race you to the house." Val smiled
"I thought vampires can't turn into bats." Val laughed wings sprouting out of his back
"I never said that we couldn't fly." He sped off. I quickly went after him then I passed him. Flying was like a different experience. I never felt so free. I clutched my rosary and stopped getting a head of Val a bit.
"Hey Cal!" I heard a voice call from the sky, on what looked like a broom with her messy pink hair in a ponytail was Charlie
      "You're flying!" I cheered waving
"So are you! God, once we figure out what you are I got so many tests." I laughed landing on the ground waving goodbye.
"Would you like to see Calli beat Val in a race." Luke laughed coming outside, throwing the letter at me before hugging me. All the letters were the same except Val's, so I tried to add something in it.
"I won't try to leave again, promise." I smiled patting his head Finn nodded
"You better, hell if you were gone longer Elias would've had our heads." I walked in and swallowed seeing him in the kitchen. I stepped in, Elias turned and looked at me
"I figured out what you are Calliope." Elias said looking at me, I looked at him clearly confused
"Huh? What do ya mean?" Val asked to join us.
"Please show us your back." Val glared at Elias, I pulled up my hair and zipped the back of my dress.
"Well." I asked, my rosary started to glow again and I looked in the reflection on a mirror and on my bag was a mark of wings.
      "Calliope you aren't human,nor witch you're a-"
"Angel." Finn finished. I quickly took a photo of my back before fixing my outfit. An angel? Seriously? Those don't exist and there's no record, how a normal girl can be an angel. It was too much information, the rosary glowed bright before shattering though this time nothing covered me, though a glossy light surrounded my head.
"No...no... please I can fix this. Maybe Eliza or Charlie." I picked up the broken pieces of the rosary and held it it my chest.
"Here." Elias knelt down next to me and placed his hand over the rosary a black light surrounded it before it was good as new.
"So, you gonna leave and find some angel shit to do? Or are we going to school today?" I smiled getting up holding the rosary.
"We better not be late. Wyatt and Charlie got a surprise." We started our way out the door when I tripped on the rug. I got up wiping off my knees of any blood on my handkerchief, I put it in the pocket of my bag and continued to walk. Val kept a close eye on me almost afraid for me to get hit by a car or trip again. We got to the school and Charlie squealed, running over to me hugging me.
"Calli! I need to talk to you. I'm borrowing her, have fun bonding bros." Charlie said before dragging me into the school and to her weird lab room. It was still a mess with papers and equipment all over. I sat down near a desk as she pulled out a stool. "Okay, okay, I need to know." Charlie started "Which brother are you dating?" I blinked and raised an eyebrow
"Excuse me?" I asked Charlie laughed
"You can't tell me you haven't thought about dating one of them." My face lit up and I tightened my grip on my skirt.
"Well, I don't really know. We never had a moment to just breathe with everything happening. I don't think I can have feelings for them." Charlie's brows furrowed as she crossed her arms
      "Not even Val?" I sighed
"Val's different, he's funny, kind and yet I trust him. But-" Charlie put a finger to her lips.
"I see that look on your face Calli, you should tell him." She gave a weak smile while taking my hand. "You two never hide anything, why start?" I nodded and looked up at Charlie.
"I hope you find love, Charlie, with something not metallic." I joked pointing at a box of metal parts. Charlie laughed
"Yeah, that'd be nice." She agreed as the door opened and she waved at Val and Luke. Luke walked in and rummaged around a drawer before pulling out a hammer.
"Hey now! What are you doing with my hammer?" Charlie exclaimed as Luke gave a smile
"Nothing..." I laughed as Val walked over to me.
"I gotta go stop Luke, be right back. Be honest Calli." She whispered before going after Luke to get her hammer. Val groaned rubbing the back of his neck
"I'm never going to have a quiet day." Val complained, I smiled
"Not like you're quiet." He smirked putting a hand on my head
"Looks like my angel got some fangs." He laughed, I rolled my eyes getting up.
"Hey Val." I started to look at him. "I don't know how to say this but I have feelings for you." I shut my mouth. I didn't want to say it I'd ruin our happy ending again. I needed to stay quiet, Val understood what I was saying and got closer to me. I put my hands up ready for him to run, instead of leaving or going to drink my blood. Val kissed me. He kissed me. Val pulled away and looked down at me with a smile, a real smile.
"I love you Calliope." I grinned and felt tears running down my face. I started wiping them away trying to get it together. Val laughed and pulled me into a hug as I happily cried into his jacket. I took a breath and took his hand, we went into the hall and saw everyone talking outside a hall where shouting was coming from the main office.
"Oh? Looks like we have a visitor." I smiled pointing to the door.
"Elias doesn't look happy about it either." Val noted looking over to Elias who looked as annoyed as possible. I walked over and kept a tight grip on Val's hand
"What's going on?" I asked, Elias pointed to the office, inside was a man. He didn't look that old, black hair, pale scars all over his arms with a gray sweater and jeans.
"Is that?" Val asked, his voice suddenly angry and deep.
"Do you guys know him?" I asked, Elias grimaced looking back at Val "Don't ignore me." I crossed my arms
"Cal, that's um." The man came out of the office and looked down at me
"Lucifer MorningStar, it's nice to see you again my angel." He introduced looking down at me, taking my free hand and kissing it. "I've come to discuss your return to the underworld." He explained, I pulled my hand away as Val tensed up.
"What do you mean? You have to keep your end of the deal." Elias stated, he laughed while summoning a large scythe.
"Well, things have changed. I can't let this little angel stay with you." He chuckled.
