I saw something in the darkness
Watching me with sadness
Written on it's face
Said to me 'do you know what's real?'
Before I replied it started to bleed
And fade away in air...
You saw me in my worst nights and days
Stood beside me over those years
With nothing but patience
Once the walls crashed
With balled fists forward I dashed
Crawling out of the pit that trapped
My heart, will, soul and mind
I trusted you with all the pieces that I had
You said it wouldn't be that bad
No more harm will be done
...I would let you...
I saw something in the darkness
Watching me with a smile
Painted on it's face
Said to me 'you can call me brother
Never sit and bother
Having quiet and time...
