AMERICA SAT ON THE COUCH, sniffling for the tenth time since she got home. She hadn't stopped crying. She should've known that Ace would pull some bullshit on her. He never knew what he wanted. Now, it was even more obvious that it wasn't her. The fact that he lied to her was what was sitting heavy on her heart. Ace was mean, but he knew his limits with her. She was fragile. Certainly, she didn't think he'd ever stoop so low and do something like what he did today.

She walked into the kitchen and pulled out a foam food container of chinese food and placed it on the counter. When her food was warmed up, and her butt hit the comfort of her couch, a loud knock erupted at her apartment door. She raked her fork through her steaming, leftover noodles and wiped away one last tear with the back of her hand. She didn't care who was at the door. She wasn't in the mood to talk and if it was important, they'd come back later.

"America..." she heard Ace's voice from behind the door. She rolled her eyes wicked hard and glued herself even further to her seat. "Meri... I know you in there. Open the door. It's an emergency."
