Joe ran along a dark alley in the late hours of the night, he panted for breath and his whole body shook with fear,

"Please don't hurt me! Please!!!"

Joe woke up from a nightmare with a scream. His eyes opened up at once and his heart was beating a million times faster, he swallowed dryly. He looked around to confirm his surroundings, he realized he had been dreaming when he found himself lying on the hard brown floor and the scene was nothing like the one in his nightmare.

The nightmare began to appear like flashes in his memory, he could remember being pursed by a strange creature that almost resembled a man, and the strange figure wanted to kill him!

Joe shook his head and blinked his eyes over and over again to make him forget the nightmare, then he realized a difference in the passage. Alas!

"Wake up everyone! Wake up!" Joe began to shake them slightly to wake them up. "Hey the doors are back, look!" He stood up at once and ran to the kids door.

He waited and looked behind to the others; they had all awoken from their short sleep and they were all staring at Joe— waiting eagerly to see what would happen if he opened the door.

"Well go on!" Uncle Millie urged him.

"Here I go!" Joe bent the brown handle on the door downwards but before he could give it a push, the door had flung open; giving him a fright!

"Dr Joe! Dr Joe!" The children opened the door first and Joe's was the first face they saw after yesterday night.

They rushed at him screaming happily with open arms.

"Children! Oh my babies!" Amelia rushed at them with tears in her eyes, she hugged them all one by one.

"I'm so happy you guys are ok!" Viola exclaimed with a smile.

"Why's William and Olivia not out yet?" Joe asked and everyone turned their eyes to Olivia's door.

"Maybe they're still asleep?" Uncle Millie put in.

Uncle Junior ran over to door and decided to open it, but the opened by itself as well.

"Oh you guys are alright!" Olivia burst out of the room with her arms open. She ran towards the rest of the family and she hugged them.

William walked of the room as well and hugged everyone too.

"From now on, we stay together!" Will announced.

"Where's my father?!" Amelia asked.

Quickly joe and William ran to his room, they opened the door only to find Grandpa lying on the floor lifeless with his eyes wide open.

Aaaaarrrgggghh!!!

Amelia screamed at the sight she had seen— her Father was dead!

"No no! Dad? Dad?" She cried as she shook his body over and over again trying to wake him up, but the old man was cold as ice and his eyes were wide open; bulging and not blinking.

He was still and unmoved, there was no pulse, no breathing. The old man was dead!

"I suspect a heart attack!" Joe spoke up. "I'm so sorry Amelia!"

William grabbed Amelia's shoulders and raised her up, away from the corpse. He turned her face away and drew her to his chest. She cried and cried, dripping tears all over William's shirt.

After a while, the room went silent, everyone had a great sadness on their faces.

"Let's check again if we can open the door this time!" Joe finally spoke up.

"Yeah you're right!" Viola nodded.

They all went down to the large hall to see if there was even a little hope.

Joe tried, William tried, the other men also tried to open the door but it was all futile! They kicked on the door to bring it down but it was a hard as a rock. They were still trapped.

"What are we gonna do about Grandpa's body? It could start to smell any time soon!" Monica asked.

"I think we should call the emergency services, maybe they could open the door from the outside!" Olivia suggested.

"Yeah let's do that!" They chorused.

They brought out their phones in a hurry with shaky hands, but there wasn't any signals on anyone's phone.

"Damn it! There's no signal, but I think we can still make the call!"

Each person began to dial the number on their phones but it would not connect.

"This is soo strange!"

"Let's try the telephone!"

Quickly they ran to the living room together, some persons sat down on the blue chairs, while others stood; waiting anxiously for a call to go through.

Beep! Beep! Beep!

They tried again and again but they couldn't make any calls with the telephone.

"We are so screwed!"

"What the hell's going on William? What's happening to our family?!" Amelia asked and cried some more.

"I don't know honey, I don't know!" William was just as confused as everyone else. "Mum you gotta give us something at least, any explanation!"

"Uh– I remember the whole story now!" She cleared her throat.
