Two weeks. That's how long we had until the end of the school year. Fourteen days to come up with a way to fix this wardrobe. We had gotten halfway, the magical enchantment returning enough strength that we could send things through, but not enough that we could bring them back alive.

I knew what I had to do. We had tried every spell in the book and yet the only thing that even slightly worked was... me. I had to try again, but I didn't want to. It would only make her more powerful, and as the days progressed, I was getting weaker.

I wondered what my tipping point was. When would both Credence and Ariana become weak enough that the Obscurus could break through without any complaint?

"The Cabinet needs to be fixed," Voldemort spoke, eyes glazing over mine and Riddle's figures in front of him. "There is not much time left for your task to be completed." He was stressed. The man wasn't showing it, but I could tell in the way that he was slowly making his way back and forth across the room that he was just as impatient as we were, waiting to leave.

"The spells aren't working," Riddle told him. "The best we have been able to do is fix the enchantment that allows objects to move between them. People is a different matter."

"I want it done."

"Tom," I spoke up. "If I may."

He nodded. "You may."

"We will fix the Vanishing Cabinet in the time that you have given us. I am not sure how we are going to do it, but it will be done, we can promise you that."

Voldemort turned to us. "I hope, that for your sake Miss Black, you follow through on that promise."

There was a small pause as the threat of his words bled through to the two of us. We knew what he was insinuating. If we didn't fix it, he'd kill us.

"Where is Mr Malfoy?" Voldemort asked.

"He was injured," Riddle answered. "An unregistered spell was used. Sectumsempra. He's been recovering in Hogwarts."

"Sectumsempra?" Voldemort queried. "And who created that?"

"I don't know," my boyfriend answered.

"Severus Snape, my Lord," I told him. "It was created by Severus Snape."

It was a conclusion that I had come to. Harry had told me that the book he had gotten the spell from was a Potion's book, annotated by a student who called himself the Half-Blood Prince.

Snape was a Half-Blood, his mother being muggle born and since he had been a Slytherin, the Prince part made sense. Then, there was the fact that the healing charms I had used in that bathroom had no real effect on Draco's wounds, but Snivels had known exactly how to heal it. The book also dated to the time he was a student.

Then, there was the part about the Sophourous beans. The Professor had told us about how crushing it was a more effective way to get the juices than cutting. That was how Harry had won the Liquid Luck. It had been written in the book.

"Severus," Voldemort repeated with a smile. "It seems I underestimated the man's talents."

"It seems you did."

With an intake of breath, the man nodded. "You may return to the castle. We shall waste no more time here when you could be completing the task I set for you."

"Thank you, my Lord," Riddle replied, bowing gently.

I mimicked his gesture before we turned around, moving for the doors of the room.
