Once your chauffeur dropped you and madeleine of too the beach you layed down your towels and decided to get ice cream from a nearby ice cream parlour
you both got your ice creams and you were walking back to the beach when you saw a familiar face
"Tristan!" You and maddie screamed running over to him
"Hey guys!" Tristan said
You looked down to see a medium sized golden retriever with a black leash tied around its neck leading to Tristan's hand
"I didn't know you had a dog!" You said
"This isn't mine I stole it off the streets" tristan said
You and maddie looked at eachother with questioning faces you knew tristan was joking but it was still puzzling
"I'm just kidding this is my aunts dog" tristan said
You both laughed then you said bye to tristan and went back over to your towels
You both finished your ice creams talking about random stuff until madeleine said
"So what's going on with you and mason right now, if you want to talk about it?"
"I don't know what's up with him but whatever it is I don't want any part in it, he's been so awful to me for no reason. I do wish him the best though" you said to maddie trying not to tear up
"Y/n I'm so sorry no one should ever be treated like that" maddie says genuinely looking sad
You just cry on her shoulder for a few minutes
"Let's go swim maddy I don't want to cry over some boy for any longer"
You both swim and splash eachother for awhile until the sun started to set and it got cold
You both get out of the water and dry off with your towels looking up at the beautiful sunset plastered across the sky
As you reach for your phone you saw a notification you didn't want to see, not at all

You forgot to block him on Snapchat, although in your defence you don't use it that much
You took a second before even opening the app, maddie could tell something was up
"Hey y/n are you okay? She asks worried
"Look" you said as you showed her masons notification
"Y/n if I'm being totally honest I think you should open it, i know you might not want to but it's for the best? Maybe he will apologize and tell you his side of the story?" Madeleine said
"Your so right mads, maybe I should"

After hearing what happened on masons end you decided to forgive him, were you still upset deep down? of course who wouldn't be but that was in the past and now it's time to focus on the future

You look at maddie with a smile on your face
"So did everything work out!" She says
"Yes!!" You said
You were happy in life right now mostly, you and mason forgave eachother and you are both starting to regain eachothers trust, you have amazing friends, but you have a bestfriend. A bestfriend who would be there whenever your feeling down, upset, or just need their shoulder to cry on, a bestfriend to watch sunsets with, go to the beach, and make many amazing memories, and that bestfriend was maddie. I am fully convinced that everyone needs a maddie in there life
