Brooklyn's POV
All 4 of us were walking towards the compound. I'm pretty sure Darius is worried about Big Eatie, of course. And me? I was just worried about what Kenji might think. What if he gives up saying that we were too late? No. Kenji would never do that. But what is gonna happen how? How am I gonna tell Kenji that I had to check all that? It doesn't make sense anymore. Someone, just say something. Get me out of my thoughts.
Darius: Did you see Big Eatie's eyes? She was terrified. I just...I can't believe they did it.
Finally. Something to get me out of what Kenji might think.
Me: I can. And, to top it all off, I'm late for my date.
Aanya: I'm no romance expert, but is telling Kenji about Kash controlling dinos really the best date convo?
Me: How am I gonna tell him this?
Darius: Not sure there's a good way, but, he has to know.
Just then, we heard something. In the bushes. We backed up a little. No, not now. I have to get to my date. I can't get through anymore obstacles. Well, 2 raptors jump out. Why? Why now? Can't it be some other day? I have to make it to my date!!!!!
