Me, my boyfriend Brady, our friends Madeline, Mason, Tristan, Miguel, and Becca decided to go to the outer banks we live in NC so it's an 8 hour drive Brady's gonna drive the whole time even though we all said we switch off with him he just said he'd drive the whole time

I was woken up by the sound of my alarm going off I checked the time 5:31 pm it read I don't usually sleep this late but Brady couldn't get off work today and we already planed and paid to be in the outer banks tonight Brady gets off work at 5 it's about a 20 minute drive from his work to his house so he should be home we have to leave at 6:30 pm  and we have to pick everyone up Tristan and Miguel are gonna want something to eat and we're gonna need gas and knowing our friends Becca probably hasn't even packed yet

Brady opened his bedroom door causing me to break from my thoughts he looked tired and exhausted I knew he was but instead of showing it he smiled and sat down on his bed by my feet

"Hi" I said

"Hey pretty"  he said

After we talked a few he went to go take shower since he had been working while he was in the shower i started getting ready i stayed in the clothes i was in which was black shorts and one of bradys t-shirts i brushed my hair a little and put some mascara on i didnt try hard since we would be in the car for 8 hours or more

We both finished getting ready Brady carried our bags down stairs and into the big car we had rented since we all couldn't fit in any of our cars, I was talking to Brady's mom who had just picked up one of bradys little sisters from softball practice

"Why don't you guys sit down and eat something?" His mom asked

"Mom we gotta get on the road we don't have time we'll get something from somewhere" Brady said rubbing his eyes

"Fine fine"

I chuckled

"I still think you should eat my food" she mumbled loud enough for us to hear

Brady shot me a look of "is she serious" he rolled his eyes

"Ok bye mama love you" he said going to hug her

"Bye hunny love you" she said hugging him and walking over to me

"Bye y/n I love you please make sure he doesn't do anything stupid"

"I love you to and it'll be pretty hard to considering he is stupid"

"Hey!" He said

We both laughed

After saying goodbye to his mom and siblings we got in the car and left we checked to time 7 we wanted to leave at 6;30 but it's fine we got to masons house where Tristan and Miguel were also staying there after getting all of there bags in the car we went to Becca's next since she lived close to Mason, after we got Becca we went and got Maddy, We got everybody and started on the road about 30 minutes in Miguel and Tristan were already complaining about being hungry

"Bradyyyyy Bradyyyyy" they both said

"Oh my fucking god, fine but you 2 are not picking" Brady said irritated

I shot him a lot that said "calm down" , he shot me a look that said "I'm sorry"

"Fine where do you guys wanna go?"

After fighting and making Brady mad we decided on McDonald's we order and got back on the road we drove in silence until we couldn't take the silence anymore so we gave Becca and Maddy the aux since we knew they wouldn't fight over it and they both had good music taste

We drove just listening to music without any problems until the song sweet Caroline came on and the whole car went crazy

"Sweet carolineeee" the all sang

"BOM BOM BOM" Miguel and Mason both yelled

I could tell by the look on Brady's face he was pissed he didn't say anything though he just sat there I grabbed his hand to calm him down he looked at me and smiled but when he looked back to the road he was still mad

"Alright I can't take it anymore please change the song" I said in an effort to get Brady less mad so hopefully Brady won't kill us all

They changed the song and everything was going fine

(time skip cuz I can)

*bradys pov*

it was 11 pm we had been driving for about 4 hours so i needed gas

"hey were stopping for gas this is the only time were stopping untill we need more gas so go to the bathroom or buy snacks if you want remember im not stopping again" i said

i got nothing but a few mumbles back since everyone was half asleep i stopped at the first gas station i saw it was pretty big everyone woke each other up and went in i got out a put the pump in the gas tank and realized y/n was in the passenger seat asleep i opened the car door on her side i put my arm around her i moved her hair out of her face

"y/n' i said softly

it didnt take long to wake her up since shes a light sleeper i watch her eyes flutter open

"hmm?' she said

" do you need to use the bathroom or want any snacks"

" no bathroom but can you go in and get *your fav candy* and *your fav drink* please" she said yawning

"Of course I can I'll be back" I said getting up off her and shutting the door

She gave me a soft sleepy smile back. After everyone got they're snacks and used the bathroom we got back in the car I gave y/n her snacks and then starting driving again

After about driving about 5 more hours we were officially in the outer banks it was 4:28am and we still had 45 minutes till we were at our Airbnb everyone was awake now surprisingly even Brady even though he was irritated and anything was bound to make him mad at this point i was just waiting for someone to say they were hungry and 5 minutes later

"Hey Brady" Tristan said

"Hey tris" Brady said back

"I'm hungry"

"Me too, but can you please just wait for a few" Brady said trying not to yell

"Yeah I guess" 

35 boring minutes later we were at our Airbnb Brady did everything to tell the host we were there and then we went in we went in and everyone put they're stuff down and even tho it was 5 in the morning Tristan was still hungry so we door dashed Starbucks so we could get coffee.

We decided not to go to sleep because we knew we'd sleep the whole day after eating our Starbucks we decided to go to the beach to watch the sunrise we all got changed and headed to the beach it was close so we could walk we walked down the sand and Brady out down our blanket on the sand me and Brady sat down while Mason, Miguel, and Tristan decided to go get the water eve tho it was freezing the wanted Brady to go with them but he was tired from driving and just wanted to sit with me

Maddy went and made stuff in the sand because she didn't wanna get in the water and she wanted me and Brady to have our moment

Me and Brady sat in the sand him laying on my chest trying not to fall asleep while watching the sunrise I looked down at Brady, I could see the sun in this bright blue eyes he shot me a sweet smile

"I love you" he said softly

"I love you too"
