the second side of love is the side we don't feel at the very beginning. That scary part that makes the butterflies go away. You feel it when the other person starts to be distant and wants to leave so you start fighting to keep what you have. You fight to regain the same magical feeling that enveloped you at the very beginning, but the more you fight, the more you hurt yourself. This feeling of confidence turns into fear of abandonment and you slowly begin to accept more and more the bare minimum. Every little moment of joy you live with this person makes you forget the bad times and the bad feelings they make you feel, but it's unavoidable reality always ends up catching up with you. You no longer feel this sense of security and slowly the other person begins to have a hold on you. I would say this is the scary part of love, not being able to let go of each other.
