"Mother," Jisung entered her room after she let him in. Leah was standing outside trying to speak with Jisung for something, but he ignored her.
"No, I don't understand, Marion. Just tidy here a little and go afterwards." She said and turned to face her son. "Yes, Jisung,"
"You really think that if I marry this guy, he will help me?" He asked, coming closer after closing the door. "Really?"
"Yes." She said with a lower and calmer voice. "Leclair's are one of the most invited families to every kind of event. They go to balls, they go to marriages all the time."
"Yes, and?"
"And? You really can't understand what a big plus this would be?" she asked him. "Of course, you never think about expanding the business."
"I won't expand it just by marrying to anyone."
"Oh, yes you will. Because Lino Leclair is one of the well known boys in France. Not only in Paris, and when he meets someone new and shares with them that he's married to you, if the person doesn't know who you are or what you're doing, Lino will tell them. The next day this person will buy from our wine bottles and will tell someone of their friends or families. Little by little the business will grow even more."
"It's growing bigger and bigger even without Lino."
"What if '64 decides to come back?"
"My dad is dead, no matter the fact he was married and with a kid, right?."
"But at least they didn't kill your grandfather."
"So, you want to tell me that they will probably kill me, but won't kill Lino?"
"No, what I'm saying is that your future will be safer if you're married."
"To Lino Leclair?"
"No, to anyone. But marrying Leclair's son, you will have better options to expand the business. It will lead you to more and more success." She said and sighed. "Listen, Lino likes you a lot.
"I don't like him!" Jisung protested once again, but his mother looked adamant. "I promise I will find someone and marry him, just I don't want it to be someone I don't love!"
"Love comes with time, Jisung. Did you really think that when I first met your dad I loved him? No."
"You met him when you were seventeen and married him when you were twenty-three."
"Yes, but the times were different."
"Times are the same. I want to marry someone who..."
"Enough. Either you marry Leclair's son and you get the business, or I sell it."
"You're so cruel!" Jisung snorted.
"What did you just call your mother?"
"Cruel." Jisung rolled his eyes. "No way I'm marrying this guy, you hear me!"
"No winery for you." The woman stood up. "Let me tell your grandfather your final decision."
"Mother, no!" He rushed to lean on the door before she exited the room. "Fine. I will marry Leclair's son."
"Sweet." She smiled. "Now, can you leave me alone?" Jisung went out. "Marion, you too!" the woman said and her retainer left the room too.
The woman was happy that she succeeded. She's been talking with her father-in-law about this, but even though he didn't share her opinion, she decided to proceed with her plans. Part one of her plan to make Jisung marry Leclair's son was already done.
