Any chapter I write for Valentine will be Male Reader since he is canonically gay

If any of that is wrong, please correct me!

[Valentine wondered around the garden of Monster High, his plan to steal Draculaura's heart was almost complete, so he questioned himself on why he wasn't happy. Well, he knew why, he just couldn't put it into words. He didn't truly want to do any of this, but he's been doing it for so long, that he doesn't know how to stop. He'll probably go after another ghoul's heart to fill a new collection. He notices an F/c F/f (Favourite colour, favourite flower) and he suddenly visioned a long-lost memory]

--

[Valentine lay by a tree, waiting for his friend. This was the night, he could feel it, he was going to confess. He hoped his friend felt the same. His thoughts were interrupted by a face appearing upside down in front of him. Valentine chuckles and greets the boy, who relaxes his tail and flops down, onto Valentine]

VALENTINE

Do you always have to do this?

Y/N

Of course, I do.

[Valentine smiles and shakes his head, relaxing as Y/n nuzzles his head into Valentine's neck. They both lay there, not making any noise or movement. Both were content with being near each other, but the voice in the back of Valentine's head was begging for him to speak]

VALENTINE

Have you ever fallen in love?

Y/N

...Yeah. I have, plenty of times. Only one felt real, though.

VALENTINE

I think I'm in love... I don't know, I can't describe it... What does falling in love feel like?

Y/N

Well, it's different for everyone. But, for me... Falling in love feels like a friendly voice in a crowd of strangers trying to guide you to safety. And once you're in their arms, away from harm, it feels right. It feels like you're just enjoying a moment in life, one that you'll want to replay forever. Like being peaceful or at ease for the first time in years, and not wanting that moment to stop. And when I'm with the one I seem to be falling for, time just slows down. And it's stupid and possibly really really cliché, but they brighten everything up. They make my world better.

[Y/n looks up at him, smiling with a certain glint in his eyes. Valentine hugs him closer, relaxing in his warmth. This was the night. The night he couldn't confess, he knew he was in love, but his body refused to listen to his heart. It was too soon, and he didn't know when it was the right time, but that wouldn't be for the next four hundred years]

--

[He sighed in regret and went to grab the flower, but a letter fell by his feet. He picked it up and immediately recognised the hand-writing]

I still remember the sound of your voice.
I still remember your favourite colour, why you stay awake at night, your dreams and fears and how your eyes lit up when you said my name.
I remember every poem, every detail about you.
So dear lover, make me remember that you're still there.
Make me remember you weren't a figure of my imagination.
Make me remember how much I loved you.
For all that you left behind, was your ghost.
Let him haunt me, play tricks with my mind, mess with my un-beating heart.

Follow the letter, if you wish to be forever instead of a memory.

[The letter suddenly flew up with the wind and away from Valentine, so he rushes after it. Leading him directly to the only one he fell in love with. It was night, the darkness covered everything. Valentine could only see the moonlight and the lanterns. In front of him, there was a street, no cars or monsters. Just an empty street, but on the other side, there was a house, his destination. He crossed the street slowly. Orange and yellow leaves were everywhere. It's not cold, but it's not warm either, not that he would feel it. It's perfect. It feels perfect. He stood there, watching for any movement]

[Y/n was in his room, he lay on his bed, staring at the ceiling, waiting. He hoped his last love had seen the letter. Luckily, footsteps were heard from outside. He goes outside on the balcony, and he sees him. He looks perfect. Y/n just can't help but love him fully. He looks so perfect in the moonlight. Y/n goes to the edge of the balcony]

Y/N

I've been waiting for you.

VALENTINE

And I've been searching for you.

[He didn't bother with putting on the accent, he never lied to his love, and he never will. They both finally felt connected to someone. They finally felt love. It was harder to feel it than it sounded. But they finally felt it. Valentine looked up at him. He began to climb the walls, he could just fly up there, but he figured it would be more romantic this way. He held his lover's hands. The experience was better than anything. He wanted to live this moment forever]
