i sat next to owens mom & sister.
as the clock got closer & closer to zero, the more i hoped for owen to have his first nhl hat trick.
i watched intensely as owen got a breakaway.

he took the slap shot
the horn sounded and his teammates celebrated him. i cheered for him as i hugged his mom.
i cried in awe. i saw his smile on the screen.

i left before owen, he had interviews & his team would celebrate him in the lockerroom so i went home.
