1:20 PM | Seoul, South Korea
He felt a soft gentle touch on his skin as he started to gain consciousness gradually. He slowly started to become aware of his surroundings.
He realized he was lying over something soft, and there were people around him as he could hear a muffled conversation going on.
His body was quite numb, and there was a slight pain in his head. With an effort, he tried to open his eyes. His vision was blurred at first but soon become clear.
The sudden bright white light made him squeeze his eyes shut. But he opened it again a second later, being able to adjust to the light better.
A gasp was heard, as he turned his head around to see a middle-aged couple hovering over him, their countenance expressed surprise and joy.
The man walked away to call the doctor while the woman leaned forward and kissed her son all over the face.
"Oh my God, Taeyong! Finally, you woke up! I was so afraid my dear." She exclaimed. Taeyong recognized his mother and the man who was just with them, as his father. But that only led him to puzzlement.
Soon, a doctor wearing a white court came and smiled reassuringly at Taeyong.
"Ah, I see you. How do you feel?" He asked, readying a clipboard and a pen in his hand.
"A bit hazed? My body feels like it hasn't moved for centuries and there's a slight pain in my head."
"As expected. Nothing quite serious. Name yourself."
"Uh... My name is Lee Taeyong."
"Good. How many family members do you've?"
"Three, my parents and my little brother."
"Excellent! What's the last thing you remember?"
"I... was walking home after meeting up with my friends."
"Do you know why are you here?"
"Does it seems like?"
"Well, no. But I'll leave it to your parents to tell you."
The doctor patted Taeyong's shoulder and turned toward the couple who were standing there anxiously.
"His memory seems fine. You may talk with him and tell him." Said the doctor, as he walked out of the room.
"Thank you, doctor." Taeyong's father said as they made their way to Taeyong, sitting beside him. His mother stroked his hair with delicate care.
"Mom, what happened?" Taeyong questioned, not wanting to be in darkness anymore.
"Oh, well..." She looked up at her husband, who nodded, "You got into an accident, and were in a coma."
And just, at that moment, the door of the room was pushed open, and there, entered Donghyuck, his brother.
"Hello, how are you now?" He asked softly, giving him a small smile, coming near him.
