Chapter One

He wasn't there
Of course he wasn't
Never was and never would be
It was only Dean and Sammy
For as long as he remembered

Dean who went to his Football games
Dean who studied for his exams with him
Dean who remembered his Birthday and made him a cake

Shure he was there sometimes. But most of the time only him, Sammy, and Dean. He gave him the Nickname. Nobody else was allowed to call him that. While he got older, he always told Dean that it was only Sam now. But Dean always just gave him his cocky grin and said „Shure Sammy."

They were their own little Family.

But with time, things change. They always change. And they did too.

He left to become a lawyer and Dean stayed.

Said that it's okay and he's keeping up the Family business

But Sam knew it wasn't true

He saw Dean and his Dad interacting

How tense things could be

And how Dad could snap within of secons just because of a small inconvinience

When there weren't enough beer cans or when the TV was a little bit to loud

But the worst thing was when they went out to eat or just to the city in general

Sometimes they would pass specific districts and their Dad made sexist or homophobic comments

Sam always saw how Dean tensed up

They never talked about that topic but they had a silent agreement

When Sam saw that Dean wouldn't got behind the school with Heather or Bonnie but with Jack or Tylor

But he never told their Dad
Of course not why would he?
It was Deans life

But he still didn't undetstand why he stayed
Why he just didn't go, get a job as a mechanic, start a relationship or even a family on his own

Dean was good with cars after all

All of that didn't make sense in Sammys view
