It was fairly easy. To lie to a child.
Wilbur didn't feel bad though. He had lied through his teeth to the small blue eyed boy. And he felt nothing.
Lying seemed natural by now. Second nature.
Seems like the only thing he was good at.
And the boy took it. He believed every word.
Believed he would be safe. That everything was okay.
He hugged the liar.
The lair hugged back.
