What I love about her...

I used to think that sometimes love was never meant to be.

But I never knew until it happened.

Until she happened...

It was a cloudy evening and it soon started to rain.

I went to the bus stop drenched from head to toe,

And there I saw an angel dancing in the rain,

As if she had never danced before.

She was perfection given form despite not being perfect at all.

She was like a goddess among the raindrops that fall.

She looked so happy to feel the cold,

But I myself was not so bold.

I knew then what they meant by love at first sight.

Because I had fallen for her completely.

It was then that I surrendered to my plight.

And decided to watch her discreetly.

I watched as the rain wet her hair.

I watched as she danced as if she was on air.

I might have been staring at her for too long,

Because she suddenly looked at me as if I had done something wrong.

Her dance came to an abrupt halt,

And it seemed like she switched back to default.

She started walking towards me,

And I haphazardly started thinking of a plea.

But as she walked I started thinking,

What I had admired about her without blinking.

What I love about her...

I love her eyes that shone so bright,

In the brightest shade of azure.

They were like sapphires in their own right,

That I did know for sure.

I love her skin, so pale yet bright,

Like the moon's reflection on a lake.

It glistened under the evening light,

As if the rain made it slake.

I love her hair, long and burnished,

Just like a redwood flay.

The rain had all but made it garnished,

So that it could toss around and play.

I love her lips, so rosy and vivacious,

Glassy like fresh cherry blossoms.

And it had a smile that was wild and tenacious,

Like that of an angry possum's.

As she slowly proceeded towards me unaided,

The distance between us gradually faded.

Her grace was heavenly, to say the least,

And would be enough to calm any feral beast.

She calmly came and sat next to me,

And my heart leapt out of my chest in sheer glee.

And right before she opened her mouth and spoke,

That was exactly when I awoke.

Was it real, or was it a dream?

I took a few moments to wonder.

And right when an illusion was all it seem,

A single touch tore my reality asunder.

I looked behind to see someone there,

To save me from this hellish nightmare.

For lying there was the girl in the rain,

An angel sent to save me from pain.

I smiled at her and she smiled back,

Then I drew her close and hugged her.

In her warm embrace, I seemed to lose track,

As I drifted off into a hazy blur.
