"no, i want the front seat!" the kids were bickering about who got to sit next to you. for some reason, every time the kids got in your car, they always fought about the front seat. in a way, it made you feel happy because you thought they were trying to sit next to you, but they really just wanted to get away from being smushed in the back seat.

max shoved lucas away from the passenger seat door. "ladies first, loser!"

somewhere along the way, lucas and will came and joined you all at the arcade. they had no idea you guys were there, but when they showed up it made you feel happy, for some odd reason.

"it's been 'ladies first' all damn day! let one of us have the front seat!" mike shouted, reaching his hand out to grab the passenger seat door handle.

max chuckled. "that's because ladies are more valuable to the world! so let me have the front seat!"

will stood there watching all three of his friends argue back and forth about who should get the front seat. he didn't mind where he sat as long as he had a spot. other than that, will didnt give a fuck.

the red headed girl watched as will got in the back, he obviously didn't care if he got the front seat.

mike looked back at the girl, shrugged and reached his hand out once more. "nuh-uh!" max said, jerking his hand off the door handle.

lucas sighed and got in the back, he never got the front seat so it was usual for him not to get it now.

mike and max kept arguing about who got the front seat, until you finally got tired of it. "will gets the front!" all three of them turned to you. "he never gets it and since you all want it, neither of you can get it."

mikes mouth fell open as he watched will hop out of the back seat and calmly walk over to the front seat. max and him were still standing there, will smiled at them and got in.

"no fucking way will gets it!" they both shouted.

it had been a long day but finally you and will had made it back to joyce's place. you still found it hard to believe she let you stay there, you thought she wouldn't have.

"here y/n, i made you some cookies." will said, slowly opening up the door and walking in the with the plate of cookies in his hand.

your eyes darted to the plate as you walked up there and grabbed a few, slowly walking back to your desk.

even though your father had been dead, no one had been talking about it. maybe his death was a good thing.

but you could still feel his touch lingering over your body. it was disgusting, but you couldn't wash it away. it was like it was gonna be there forever.

will cut the silence. "well, that's it. i love you, y/n. goodnight." and he walked out, leaving the plate on the nightstand next to your bed. there was also a glass of milk placed right besides it.

you turned away from the cookies and continued with your work, occasionally taking a couple bites from the cookies will had made for you. which you had to admit, were fucking delicious. will surely did know how to bake.

the paper on the table had been from the class you skipped out on, the one teacher who despised you and billys relationship.

the homework from his class was the hardest shut you had ever had to do, which is why you were also failing his class. your father didn't appreciate it, but with him gone it gave you the freedom to be happy about your grades without him lingering over your shoulder, telling you to be perfect.
