Chapter 5

DIANA

After our 3 hours study session, Abel drove me back to my house. Throughout the whole time I was in his house, I didn't have to see Matthew again. Maybe he was pissed having me in there house. Also I didn't get to meet Grayson either. Not like I wanted to...

Now everything is back to normal. I walking through the hallway of our school, ignored by everyone. I opened my locker and picked up the books for next class. From now on, I've to make my own notes and show them to Abel, his words not mine. He wants me to be attentive in class instead of daydreaming,
again his words. So I'll have to do that. I don't want to embarrass myself in front of a hot guy like him.

When I enter my class, I walk to the very back of the room, where I usually sit. Okay I can sit at the back and still be attentive in class right? Besides, there's no seat left in the front.

"Are you kidding me?" Ellie squeals from beside me, her voice thin and unpleasant.

"I didn't even speak. What do you mean?" I frown.

"Ah...don't do this with me. I heard Abel is your tutor now. Like? John Abel? The John Abel?" She's so excited.

I shake my head and hold her hand so she can stop annoying people with her thin voice.

"Stop and yes. He's my tutor now. So what?" I mean is that even new? He's been tutoring other dumb student like me too.

"So what did you two do?" She rests her elbow on her desk, her palm underneath her cheek, ready to listen to my story.

I snort. "What do people do on study session, Ellie? Obviously we studied,he helped me with the notes, lectured me why I never pay attention to class, later on he took me to his house so we could study more and-"

"Wait wait wait," Ellie raised both her hands to stop me, her eyes widening. "What do you mean he took you to his house? His apartment? His penthouse? Where he lives with Grayson and Matthew? Did you meet them too? Wait you didn't meet Grayson, did you? He was at the party last night. So you met Matthew? Matthew Archer?" She shoots a these questions on my face at once.

I sigh. "Girl, chill. I just met Matthew and we didn't even talk. I just saw him for few seconds and then he vanished in his room. I don't think he liked me having there. He gave me one of his death glares like step-into-this-house-again-I'll-have-your-neck look and never came back. Also me and Abel only focused on stats problems because I'm so dumb to understand them so we didn't talk a lot about other stuff."

"So nothing interesting happen? God, why are you so boring?" Ellie rolled her eyes back and focuses on the class as our teacher starts reading out the next line.

It's lunch break. So I put my notes in my locker and head towards canteen. I must say, I'm proud of myself today. I focused on the entire class, wrote down all the important formulas and rules she said. I even memorized everything Abel taught me last night. I think Abel has his way to my mind. Whatever he says, just goes straight to my head and stays there.

I pick up a tray, fill it with apple slices, a mayonnaise and cheese sandwich and a bottle of orange juice. I look around the room, trying to find an empty seat.

When I find an empty table at the very corner of the canteen, I make my way there.

But I abruptly stop on my feet, my body freezing when I hear Abel's voice from behind me. He taps his finger on my head. "Hey, sweetheart."

A flush that creeps across my cheeks,my body must be visibly sweating as I see almost everyone in this canteen turning their heads at me. More than 60 pairs of eyes are fixed on me. The whole canteen suddenly silence.
