[Y/N] [L/N] was a graduate from Sumeru Academiya.
A very succesful one at that too. They had graduated a while ago with flying colors.
And that was you.

You were in Port Osmos, visiting for the old times' sake. You wanted to recall the time you went here with your classmate, Al Haitham, who you had a small crush on. Hehe. Just small.

It was a pure memory that you hadn't forgotten, instead of many others from the same timeframe. You held that one special.

You had went into the port in hopes of buying a knowledge capsule. It wasn't something new, Akademiya students had always been interested in getting knowledge. However, all they had always seen were Eremites - and they.. weren't exactly reliable.

You let out a sigh as you finished recalling that time your classmate had beaten up some eremites after realizing they had scammed you. It was quite entertaining, and you couldn't help but let out a subtle laugh.

Anyways. You had distracted yourself too much.

You looked around as you stopped going into your thoughts, until your eyes stopped, catching onto a familiar figure in the distance.

At your sight, there was a tall, gray haired man that you recognised from any distance. It was your old classmate. The one who graduated with you. Al Haitham.

You saw some boxes nearby the area he was at and had a grin on your face, quickly walking to the wooden boxes to hide behind them. There was a wall other than the boxes between you and the event happening, but you had a clear sight now.

Al Haitham was doing his usual thing, beating up eremites who scammed people and presumably trying to get his hands on a knowledge capsule. Again.

He was just done, and he had crossed his arms, sighing as he just sat on a chair nearby as the eremites had to leave returning their stolen momey and stuff. The dust settled soon after and you let out a small giggle. You had an idea.

Your idea seemed to be working as Al Haitham flinched a bit and immediately turned his face to where he thought the voice came from. You let out a sigh seeing his reaction which he flinched again. You had the perfect opportunity to jump out of your hiding place.

"Boo!" you jumped from behind your box, making Al Haitham stop for a moment and blink twice until he realized after a good while.

"Oh. [Y/N]." he let out simply, which gave you a dissappointment. "Not happy to see me?" you raised a brow, which caused him to rub his neck a little and look downward. "No, not that, I'm just... shocked to see you."

You were quite happy with that response and seemed to have a slight pink tint on your face. God, you still liked him, and a lot.

You weren't sure what to respond with so you somehow said a "Do you wanna go walk somewhere? Eat something? You know, for the old times' sake."

"Oh?" he raised a brow. "Sure, why not. When? How long will you be staying here?"

"How about now?" you asked simply, "I won't stay here for long."

"Okay then." he shrugged.

Woah. Did you just ask him out? And did he just agree? So casually?

Well, whatever. You realized he started walking already so you follwed along.

You walked for a while, with the sea on your side, without a conversation, until he spoke.

"So? What brings you to Port Osmos, at this time of the year?"

"Hmmm.." you spoke, "I guess I just wated to see if you're still around. Remind me of our old memories."

"I see." he responded, "That's a valid reason. Even I do that sometimes."

"You do?" you looked at him, surprised. "Interesting."

"Yeah."

The silence kept going for a while. You two eventually reached the end of the road.

"Sooo.." you stopoed in your tracks, "Wanna do his again sometime? Take a walk together? Hang out, y'know?"

"When?" he seemed totally down for it.

"I dunno."

"As friends?"

You stopped.

"What?"

"You wanna hang out as friends or what?" he asked so casually.

"Do you mean—"

"Do I mean?" bro seemed confused even tho he just said that.

"Do you mean, like—"

"Yeah, I like you."

You legit just stood there in confusion and that guy you liked just confessed to you while being completely normal and chill about it.

"Holy shit-" you couldn't help but mutter, "You for real?"

"Weren't you the one who asked me out?"

"HOLY-" you stopped yourself, unaware of everything. "Oh, yeah, uhm."

"I'll let you think," he held out his hand, sighing in defeat. "I'll see you t-"

"Wait." You rushed to get ahold of his wrist, "I- I like you too."

He didn't seem surprised.

He pulled you closer by your hand which was on his, as you two shared a gentle kiss under the sky.
