Uhhhhh I'm bored out of my mind,when will he be back I might as well read or something I guess.I walked to go get a book it was Alfreds chronicle I might as well read it.I just started reading when the door flew open to the room I was held in by Sigtryggr of Ireland the Dane who took Winchester.Eadwulf walked in I was disappointed to be honest.

He stumbled over to me a knife in his hand,he leaned over me and whispered"I've been drinking ale"The stench of the ale was unbearable.

"I know"I said"what do you want"i continued trying to inch away from him.He then sat down on the table

"To kill someone I think,someone or myself"he said placing down the knife

"Sigtryggr wants me as a hostage"I reminded him"I'm use to him alive"

"Ah don't be fooled he's playing with you,unlike myself he is a man breathed with conscious"Eadwulf barked leaning back on his elbow

"So don't anger him by killing me"i said walking away I couldn't bare the smell anymore "if you want favour amongst the Danes"I continued

"I DON'T WANT FAVOUR AMOGST THE DANES"he yelled kicking the stool I was sat on only moments before he walked over to me and I was backed in to the wall he put his arm were my head was,trapping me.

"I know making a bargain with the Dane's was madness now I will suffer what I have done so I might as well take a tiny scrap of vengeance"he said holding the knife to my stomach

"I have done nothing to you"I retorted

"Your father,Lady Ætheflead,The king turned my sister away from me,put my face in the dirt when all I wanted was to regain my family honour"he said putting the knife closer to me"do you know what that can do to a man"he continued

I managed to slip out from under his arm"turns him in to a drunk"I mocked

"Don't mock me"Eadwulf commanded

"Then don't be pitiful,all this you brought upon yourself you know that"I mocked again then he lost his anger he whipped his hand across my face it hurt a lot.

I held my check then someone barged through the door,Sigtryggr was red we'll not literally but he was pissed he took the weapon and that's all I could remember i the rest is blurred.But I do know that Sigtryggr looked at me and slapped Eadwulf,Then Sigtryggr left with Eadwulf then I sat down and fell asleep.

I woke up later on it was almost sunset now by the looks of it I was really hungry.Just the there was a sting in my cheek luckily there was a small mirror in there.I looked in and saw there was a purple where Eadwulf had slapped me.

I started to read again then the doors opened again Sigtryggr walked in he had a plate of cheese and bread.

"That peice of goat shit"he muttered

"What"I said

"He gave you a bruise"he said

"I'm fine I can handle a bruise"I said
