We already are at chapter 20 after months and months of writing and a lot of procrastination, and it's been one helluva journey so far but the fic is far from over yet, and it is now officially the longest fic I've worked on for now. I didn't know I could have went so overboard with a rarepair that barely anyone pays attention to nor knows in the Genshin fandom, I guess it's a case of simping and motivation that led me to writing this thing. The story quest is eventually coming to a close, and the promised smut chapter is growing closer... and there also is a Genshin oc in the making that has his own small cameo in this chapter, but that ain't important-

Anyways, on with the chapter!

Lumine arrived to the teahouse in record time, and honestly, she didn't expect to have her first sight be Yelan fully immersed in her work, the table full of papers and maps with pins stuck to them and her Lazurite dragon proudly standing among the papers, both a distraction and a motivation for the blue haired woman. Either she wanted to get some fresh air while working, or she expected Lumine there. Because of course she wouldn't have gone through the front door like a functional human being. If there was another legal entrance than a front door, the traveler would gladly enter that way.

Her Serenitea Pot place was the exception, as it was built in a style that didn't let any other openings be available other than the front door and the windows. The traveler swiftly jumped to the second floor's ground, legs sore and asleep from staying in a crouched position for too long. As she dusted herself off, she noticed something she had never seen before and that honestly made her a little surprised. Well, she could tick the "owns reading glasses that don't make her look like a grandmother" box on Yelan's list of qualities. She was an excellent archer, and yet when it came to seeing small letters up close, she needed a little extra help. The woman also wasn't wearing her fluffy Shneznayan coat, which Lumine didn't know how she could keep on despite the boiling weather, which was a rare sight because she had never seen her without it. She looked less imposing than before, but beautiful nonetheless.

"Hey, Yelan. I'm back. What have you been up to while I wasn't here?" Lumine greeted the woman, casually seating herself next to her on one of the chairs that would have probably caught fire if it stayed in the sun for a few more hours, trying to get a decent look at what she was working on.

"Ah, Lumine, perfect timing. I was going to look for you, but you got there first. I'm in a bit of a hunch on one of my ongoing investigations, but it shouldn't take long to solve." The blue haired woman greeted, her gaze shifting to the traveler and then back to her pile of documents.

"What is it about? Maybe I can help. It's not like I had anything else to right now anyways." The traveler suggested, hoping that she could actually do something about it and not getting stuck on it, which many people usually did whenever she asked for help.

"It's another case of smuggling inside of Liyue, though it's not the usual. I think it goes deeper than this, but I can't tell how. It has a connection with the newly installed Fatui next to the entrance of the Chasm." Yelan explained,  Lumine trying to process the situation.

"I don't really know much about the Fatui in specifics, but they do use a lot of materials from Inazuma such as Electro crystals for their gears. As for why they're next to the Chasm, it remains a mystery to me. Maybe they also want their share of minerals but I highly doubt it's that." The traveler trailed off, unsure of her explanation.

"Maybe you're right for the smuggling explanation, but I also hesitate on why they're next to the Chasm. I've been checking this spot regularly for the past few months and nothing else seems to be going on, so it shouldn't be too much of a worry right now." The taller woman said, stretching herself out, also feeling sore from how long she had stood there.
