Prologue the Betrayal of Friends

3rd POV

Within a open field during a thunderstorm is a male individual who is looking up to the sky as the rain pours on him

"Why... Why did they have to do this?! Someone tell me why?!" The male shouts to the sky before falling to his knees

"All I wanted to do was help protect everyone much like they do but I guess...I guess I was wrong" the male says before passing out on the field

Flashback to before the thunderstorm

In the mushroom Kingdom lives the Mario brothers Mario and Luigi heroes who have saved the kingdom time and time again

But alas the brothers have not always been alone in their heroic savings of the kingdom for the two have a good friend of whom helps save the kingdom on numerous occasions

This friend is Y/N L/N a male individual who lives a honest life in the kingdom helping the toads and others out even going as far as to help combat the forces of evil with the Mario brothers to keep the kingdom safe

But alas the day was not in Y/Ns favor for it was that day that things would go horribly wrong for him

"*Stretches* alright time to help around the town" Y/N Says as he exits his home

While walking around the kingdom Y/N noticed a few toads picking up trash that was blown by the wind

"Hey let me help you guys out" Y/N says as he begins to pick up a few pieces of trash

"Thanks Y/N your a big help" a toad says to Y/N

"Yeah we're glad your able to help us it makes our duties so much easier" another toad says

"Hey I'm always to help out it's kinda my duty to lend a helping hand to those who need help" Y/N says to the toad

Soon Mario and Luigi walk over to Y/N as he is helping the toads

"Hey-A Y/N!" Mario says to Y/N

"Oh hey Mario Luigi what's up?" Y/N asks the brothers

"Just taking a stroll through the kingdom I see your helping the toads out again" Luigi says

"Yeah I just want to help everyone with their tasks within the kingdom it's kinda my thing you know" Y/N says

"We-A-Know and listen in a few hours Luigi and I are gonna go on another adventure you wanna join us?" Mario says to Y/N

"What's the adventure about this time?" Y/N asks as he now helps with raking the leaves on the ground with the toads

"We are to find a ancient amulet that the princess wants which is suppose to have magical properties" Mario says

"Sure I'll help we'll leave in a few hours right?" Y/N asks

"Yep we will meet over at the Gates to the kingdom in a few hours" Luigi says to Y/N

Y/N nods his head which Mario and Luigi walk off

As the brothers are far from the toads and Y/N conversation between the toads can be heard

"Y/N I would becareful around Mario and Luigi" a toad says

"Why?" Y/N responds to the toad

"Don't tell anyone I told you this but I happened to overhear the brothers planning to boot you out of the kingdom" the toad says

"Your positive about what you heard? Like it's not a trick that Mario and Luigi are forcing you to do right?" Y/N asks the toad

The toad shakes his head in denial
