"can you believe we're starting Hogwarts tomorrow?" Izzy said smiling brightly at me. we were at her house packing at the said school and chatting excitedly to one another. I smiled back at her but didn't say anything as I continued to pack my books into my trunk.

"Where would you like to sit?" Izzy asked me as we walked down the narrow hallway of the Hogwarts Express.

"I dunno. somewhere up the back?" I replied

"Okay let's go." And she continued on ahead of me.

"Isabel price!" Called the woman in green holding a dirty old hat. Is he walked over to the woman just as the others before her had and sat down on the stool, the woman placing the hat top her head. the musty object sat still for a moment before shouting out

"Gryffindor!"and the Table with red and gold banners lept into applause as Izzy skipped over to them joyfully. A few more names were called before mine. I slowly walked up and sat down, feeling the hat being placed on my head before it all went down as it covered my eyes and and a small voice spoke in my ear.

"Ah... Aveline Thompson. I've been waiting for you for quite some time. The Thompson family has a long line of Slytherins, almost 700 years. But where to put you? I suppose you could also be the house of the snake. But it just doesn't feel right... Perhaps Ravenclaw?" The hat considered "no. I don't think there... Oh I know Gryffindor!"
And once again the maroon and gold table erupted into applause. Standing up, I walked over. Sitting down next to Izzy and some other girl. The girl turned to me smiling sweetly.

"Hello I'm Hermione granger. What's your name?"

" Ava Thompson. Nice to meet you"

" Ooh Thompson. I've read lots about your family. Long line of pure bloods and all in Slytherin. Except you of course. " She said rather matter-of-factly as if I didn't already know.
