fast forward a month later...
(IT WAS 4 DAYS UNTIL LUCY PERMANENTLY MOVED TO BARCA.)

That last whole month since winning had been a whirlwind, interviews, meeting and catching up with friends and family whilst packing up to move.
keira had been struggling but lucy hadn't really noticed, which made it worse.

keira  couldn't imagine what it would be like without lucy by her side. She was excited for her signing with barca but it ruined all the plans they had, all the holidays and all the new house renovations.
As she woke up that morning the first thing she saw was the framed picture of them that lay on her beside table and she burst out into tears.

keira's POV:
i started sobbing, i didn't mean to, it just happened.  Lucy looked over and placed her hand on my upper thigh barely opening her eyes.
"ke ke are u okay" she said in quite a quiet voice
i tried to shake her off, i didn't want her to know how upset i was that she was leaving, however deep down i knew she knew.
she have lived together for 3 years, we have a dog together and the house of my dreams- and she still wanted to move. A part of me couldn't still understand why, was i not enough for her.
I got out of bed and threw on my fav hoodie, it was technically hers first but now it's mine, and quickly walked downstairs to calm myself down without her really realising.
A few moments later she followed me down and told me to go sit in the lounge with her.
"Keira come in her with me, please" so i did.
She put her arm out for me to sit next to her but still snuggled up close, secretly i really wanted to but i knew i'd start crying again, so i sat on the end of the sofa.
"i'm fine."
"keira you aren't, don't lie to me, i can see it in your face."
"luce, i'm fune please leave it"
"what are you up to today" i asked
"going to say more goodbyes before i leave on Tuesday"
my heart sank. i hated these conversations as i knew it would be our turn soon.
"do you want breakfast before training" she asked me
i simply nodded "thanks luce" and went upstairs to get ready.
When i went back downstairs we ate breakfast, laughing and talking like normal, playing with nala and looking out into the garden.
As i left for training i heard her shout "Bye ke i love you"
my eyes started to tear up- i never wanted this to change.
why did she have to leave.

LUCYS POV:
i could tell keira was struggling, i just didn't realise how much.
I heard her little cry in the morning but before i could question if she was okay she ran downstairs.
was she crying as i was leaving soon?
she said "i'm fine." but she obviously wasn't, however i wasn't going to force her into saying anything to me; hearing her say anything about me leaving hurts too much already.
I made her her fav breakfast before her training and as she walked out the door i told her i loved her.
"love you luce" was her reply
and i hope she meant it.
One day i hope to marry her, i want to be with her forever. In a way i couldn't help but question what i was doing by leaving her, why couldn't she come with me?

I went to visit all the man city players at the end of their pre season training session.
As i walked in alex greenwood, ellie roebuck and steph all ran over- i'm going to miss them so much. Georgia has already left for Bayern so i had said goodbye to her before she left- me keira her and ollie went out for dinner before she left.
I couldn't help but notice keira's little smile in the corner of the dressing room.
AN HOUR LATER...
i texted keira letting her know i'd meet her outside after her physio session in the car.
as soon as she got in the car she gave me a massive hug and asked me to play our favourite playlist as we drove home.

As we got home we order a takeout, snuggled up on the sofa and watched our favourite movie, mamma mia.
She fell asleep in my arms so i slowly carried her up to bed and placed her on her side of the bed.
"night luce" she whispered as her eyes flickered open.
"night keira" as i kissed her forehead before dozing off to sleep
