Chapter 23: American woman
The night with Sanders had been a little crazy and a lot to process as it turned out to be a night of revelation for everyone involved as Malia spent the next few days thinking about her Audrey who she learned was her biological mother as she couldn't help but wonder what happened to her during the raid, whether she had been captured like Nora and taken to Caulfield or had managed to survive like Louise. Isobel had told them the next day about her discovery of the picture at the crashdown of an older Louise showing that he had managed to survive her bullet wound and managed to escape the military men who were after her causing them to look for even more answers to their questions. Luckily for them, Alex managed to recognise Louise's surroundings as he knew immediately where she was causing them to plan a road trip to where they knew Louise had at least lived her last days in the hopes of learning more about her. Isobel had wanted to leave immediately but Malia insisted that they should a few days as she knew that Michael in particular needed time to digest the fact that the man who had given him a safe space as a teen and a job was the same little boy who had spent time with his mom before her capture as he couldn't help but feel slightly betrayed and she knew it was her job as his wife to make sure he was okay. As part of that duty, Malia who woke up before her husband that morning as she checked on the still sleeping Tally before deciding to wake her husband up with gentle kisses.

" mmhhmm... a guy could get used to waking up like this" Michael said with sleep still evident in his voice as he looked with hazy eyes to see his beautiful currently straddling him as she pressed gentle kisses to his chest causing to look over to where Tally was
" hmmm.... Good morning, my love" Malia said as she looked at him with a smile on his face as she knew that without looking what his reaction to her wake up was as she knew in that moment that she'd do anything to see his smile and to hear his gentle laugh
" good morning.... You look tired, did you get any sleep last night?" Michael said worrying about her as he couldn't help but worry that she had another episode that caused her trance like state as he was tempted to check her studio downstairs for more writing
" a little...Tally got up around 3 so I've kinda been up since then, it's no big deal" Malia said checking the time now to see that she had been awake for four hours as she noticed the look he was giving her as she knew he was getting ready to lecture her about this
" why didn't you wake me? You know I don't like it when you get up on your own like that. I could have kept you company" Michael said knowing he always tried to be there for her and Tally even if it was small moments like nighttime feedings or bedtime stories
" you can keep me company now if you want" Malia said as she went back to kissing him and his neck as he couldn't help but roll his eyes at her comeback as he could see through what was she doing as she tried to disarm him and any more complaints he had
