Chapter 1: This Is Going to Hurt My Heart

OH yeah also, this is an au thing so yeah (so its like what if Sunny didn't kill Mari and stuff). 

Sunnys POV 

"Sunny! Wake up!" I blinked slightly, being greeted by Kel's face inches away from mine.

"AAAUAHH?!?!" I almost fell out of my chair, why does he have to do that every time?!?! 

"You don't have to be so scared of my face every time you see it!!! Am I that ugly Sunny?!?" Kel said frowning, it's quite the opposite... Me and Kel have been friends for I don't even know how long, but recently I've been seeing him... differently. 

"Well, let's just go to lunch, you've been sleeping during the whole class period!" I rolled my eyes and got up, was I really sleeping for that long? Suddenly Kel grabbed my hand and rushed out of the classroom.

"I can walk by myself Kel!" He just grinned and ran to the cafeteria, still holding my hand. I hope he doesn't look back, or else he'll see what expression I'm making... 

"Alright! We're here Sunny.!" He stopped as we finally arrived at the cafeteria, thank God he let go of my hand. 

"Hey Sunny!! How's my dear brother doing?" Mari hugged me as I sat down by her. (Stupid explanation on how Mari and Hero are here lmao. So basically ig they just like have a break at college?? LOOK WHATEVER JUST FORGET ABOUT IT OK.)  

"I'm doing good..." Mari smiled and took a piece of watermelon out of her lunchbox.

"Say ahhh Hero!" Hero was taken aback but ate the watermelon out of her hand. 

"Ewwwwwww, get a room you guys." Aubrey set down her lunch and made a grossed-out face, I don't blame her... 

"I think its sweet, you guys are just mean!" Kel pointed at me and Aubrey, ah, I guess I looked a bit grossed out too. 

"Whatever Kel, you're just really gross!! You probably want to date Sunny or something!! I've seen you staring at him during class." Aubrey chuckled and took a bite out of her pizza, but it seems that Kel actually took it seriously.

"W-what!?!?? No!! He just sleeps all day long!" Aubrey laughed and pounded her fists into the table, making my food jump. 

"HAHHAHA!!!! LOOK AT YOUR FACE!!!" His face was turning red, as he hid his face. 

"I-IM GOING TO KILL YOU AUBREY!!!" For some reason, I felt really happy about his reaction.

"H-hey guys! Stop fighting!!" Basil said, tumbling over his words. 

"What fools..." I snickered.

After school...

"What a long day..." I sighed, after school I usually hang out for a while behind the school. 

"Sunny?" I heard Kel say, I looked over the corner and Kel ran up to me "Hey Sunny!!" He hugged me, probably crumpling all of my math homework in my bag. 

"Hey." I replied back as he let go of me. 

"Do you want to walk home?" He smiled and I swear I could see his cheeks getting red. I nodded and he put his arm around my shoulder. 

"Then let's go!" I couldn't help noticing that he looked a bit nervous, he's always outgoing and never nervous about anything, so it was odd seeing that.

Kel's POV

"See you, Kel." Sunny turned around and began walking to his house. 

"Yeah.. see you..." I muttered, AHHH WHAT THE HECK!!! Ever since Aubrey said that thing at lunch, ive been way too overly conscious of Sunny. Whats wrong with me?!??! I sighed and walked into my house.

"Kel! Why are you so late?" My mom said, taking care of Sally. 

"It took a while to find Sunny, well im gonna go study!" I hugged my mom and started to walk up to my room. I took out my math book and flipped to the page i needed to do, but...

"I CAN'T FOCUS AT ALL!!" I grumbled as i put down my pencil, I can't stop thinking about Sunny! I slammed my head against my desk and sighed. 

"What's happening to me...?" I choked on my words, this has never happened to me before... "But Sunny is pretty cute isn't he? AUUWAAHH NOO!!" I sighed, do I.. like Sunny?? 

The next day...

Sunnys POV (yeah again hahsabsh.) 

"Hey Kel." I said as I sat down next to him, he just stared at me for a bit until I said something else "Kel?" 

"Ah! Uhm I- hi?" He stumbled over his words, get a grip Kel. Throughout the whole period he just blankly stared at the blackboard, what's wrong with him? Now I'm getting concerned. 

"Alright you bastards, get out of my class." The teacher said, erasing everything on the blackboard. I got up and packed up my stuff, but Kel looked like he was lost in thought. 

"Are you ok, Kel?" I patted his shoulder and he jumped.

"Uhmm, yeah im fineeee. Heh, heh, heh." He laughed awkwardly and got up, he kind of looked like he had a fever. Not like I care, totally... 

"Are you sick, Kel? I mean you haven't been able to focus, and your face looks really red." I said nonchalantly, he's probably fine. He just paused and made up some random excuse. 

"I- well uhm its super-hot today, Haha, anyways I got to go to history class..." He ran out of the classroom, but isn't it like 30 degrees today?  I shrugged and decided to just go to my next class. 

Lunch time wooo

"Hey Aubrey, isnt something weird with Kel?" I said as I took a bite out of my sandwich, its not like im concerned or anything... just curious. 

"Huh? Well yeah I guess that's true, he's been acting weird ever since I said that thing at lunch yesterday... heh, maybe he actually likes you." She said laughing, he- he might like me?! I blushed at the idea and shook my head.

"There's no way he would like me..." I muttered, Aubrey looked at me and grinned. She put her arm around my shoulder and replied. 

"Well, well, well... two lovebirds, eh? Go get em, Sunny!"
