Nova's POV

We are all back at the van.

Leon hasn't said a word.

"Trust me Leon, everything will be okay." I say

"You sure we can trust you?" Jason asks

I look at him in shock.

"Excuse me?" I ask

"I don't think we can trust you." He says

Everyone but Zach looks at him confused.

I look at Zach.

I see hurt and confusion in his eyes.

"What are you talking about?" I ask

"I think you know." He says

I look at my friends.

"Nova, what is he talking about?" Lexi asks, confused.

I just look at her.

"You wanna know what he's talking about?" Zach asks them

I look at him.

"Zach-" I begin

But his death glare cuts me off.

"Why didn't you tell me?" He asks

I don't respond.

"Zach I can explain-" I say

"Well then explain." He says

"Nova, please tell us what's going on..." Kiki says

"Yeah seriously." Macy says

Her, Bethany, and Hillary found us after Stewart died. Macy was too busy trying to get Bethany and Hillary to shut up before they could come say goodbye to Stewart.

I look at them.

I don't dare shed a tear.

"You really wanna know?" Jason asks

"Jason please-" I say, but I'm interrupted

"She's bitten." Zach says

They all look at me.

"Nova-" Lexi begins

"Tell us this isn't true..." Kiki finishes

I look at them.

Then I look at Zach.

I know he can see the hurt and betrayal I am feeling.

"It's true." I say, still looking at Zach

"When?" Kiki asks

"When what?" I ask

"When did you get bit?" She asks

"A few hours ago." I state

"Can I check it out?" She asks, walking towards me.

"No!" I say

She stops in her tracks.

"Stay away from me. I dont want to hurt you guys. Please. Stay back." I say
