It was the science fair, and it was going okay most people already had presented and it was my turn I was lecturing everybody on science stuff when a meow cut across the room. MROOOOOOOOOOOOW! Everybody looked there was a pure white cat in a cage from someone's presentation, Cats, how creative, I know. "Uh oh," I said, "it's the zoomies!"
Then the cat broke out of the cage! "Oh no," the owner of the cat said.
The cat meowed again and jumped on Madison's head, that was fine, but she was right next to her cat-hating mom.
"AAAHHHHHHH, AAAAAAHH!" yelled Madison's mom, "HELP IT'S A CAT!"
I grabbed the cat who was actually just a little kitten, couldn't be more than five months old, and I tried to calm it down, but it freaked out, so it bit me, and I dropped it, and it ran away. I made a mad lunge for it, but it got scared and crashed into someone's cell project and got its head stuck in a giant cardboard diorama cell and so it looked like a cat stuck in a donut. The person who made the diorama started crying and then the poor terrified cat ran around trying to get the diorama off and then it crashed into Ellen's project and then Ellen's project broke and she started getting really sad and angry and tried to hit the cat, but Madison stopped her just in time and then Bob got a really big brain idea. "Why don't we tempt the cat with a treat!"
And we all agreed it was a good idea so Maddie got a treat from somewhere and calmed the cat and got the diorama off and the owner of the cat said she was a stray he had found somewhere so I said I could keep her so then I named her Salt and brought her home and she and Pepper became friends and a year later they had kittens, named Shaker, Basil, Sugar and Mayonnaise (Mayo for short) Mayo was named in honor of Bob who thought of how to calm the cat as mayo was his favorite topping to put on muffins with ketchup (don't ask).
