They were back. And it was the beginning of second year now. Scarlett was so excited to be back. She had missed her friends terribly   Being at home was draining. It was so dark and dingy and although she had Hadrian she often felt very alone in the walls of the manor

The dinner with the malfoys was dreadfully boring. They made a big deal about her meeting Lucius but in reality it was an excuse for her father to make secret dodgy deals with Abaraxas. Hadrian spent the whole time holding his sisters hand under the table. Silently and secretly reassuring her that he was right there and wouldn't let anything happen. Being in Slytherin himself he knew what Lucius Malfoy was like. He was a vile boy who thought himself better than everyone because of his fathers stand in society and he definitely didn't want the blonde rat anywhere near his sister

It had been about a week since they had come back and Scarlett was quite enjoying her classes, arriving at the platform was so exciting for her, she waited with her brother until she spotted James and Peter, they came bounding towards her with heavy grins and waving arms as they tackled her into a crushing hug. They'd sat in the same compartment as they did in the first year, dubbing it theirs and only theirs from then on. Sirius had turned up with a rather solemn look on his face, but it had soon disappeared after being around his friends and even Remus was smiling widely and joining in with their chaos. But the group had something even better planned for when they got back.

Monday rolled around and Scarlett woke up early not being able to stifle her excitement, as she could've guessed Lily was already awake "your up early?... oh no" lily sighed knowingly making Skye smirk and mischief glint in her eyes "how bad is it this time" lily asked the girl with half a scowl on her face. But it made her slightly happy to see the girl smiling, after all the first few nights she'd woken up to the whimpering noises of Skye in her slumber. Not that she ever told the girl, she would sit by her side until she settled into a dreamless sleep before going back to her own bed. "I would avoid the pumpkin juice if I were you" is all the girl responded with other than her signature smirk that lily realised looked a lot like Sirius' "yanno your a real pain Scarlett" lily laughed softly at the girl "you love it and you know you do. Are we still on for later?" She asked her with a smile "yes yes I'll meet you in the library before dinner okay" Skye nodded they were meeting up to study later. Which is what the girls did often together, she couldn't study with the boys they always got distracted. So lily Marlene Alice and Skye would all meet in the library to study but Mar and Alice had plans so it was just lily and her today

She ran into the boys in the common room and they all walked down to the great hall together "did you do it?" She looped her arm through james' "yes Sirius and I took it to the kitchens earlier this morning we didn't get all the jugs but we got most of them, slytherins first obviously" she laughed brightly at the boy as she squeezed his arm with hers "well done james well done" she turned to Remus "let's hope our potion worked yea" Remus scoffed with mock offence"oh come on you've seen your test results. They sat down and waited. Their excitement and anxiety was almost visible. Scared it wouldn't work and excited that it would. They were counting down the minutes until all hell would break loose "3...2..." suddenly before Remus could finish his countdown you could hear clucking echoing throughout the hall the slytherin table erupted with laughter at first. But then most of them began clucking like chickens and anger filled their faces ravenclaw was next but not as many of them got it, some of the griffindors got it especially the first years and over half of the hufflepuffs got hit. Everyone else was laughing hysterically Sirius held his stomach in pain from laughing so hard as he leaned on Skye who was getting disapproving looks from lily but Skye didn't miss the slight smirk the red head had on her face
