The smell of smoke, charred flesh and strong iron from freshly spilled blood all tied together with the aroma of sweet, cheap (and most likely, spiked) fruit punch. Alone admist the despair and death, stood a stranger.

Long dirty blonde, almost hazel, hair tied into space buns and adorned with golden flower hair pins. A loose small braid on the right side of their face, locks of pink and blue hair woven into it like fine thread woven into a silk sheet. Speaking of, a long white silk wedding dress, that dragged across the floor; dark red and soaked rims. A red cloak draped over his shoulder, the hood down and the strings on the front neatly tied into a bow to hold it all together. A wedding veil obscured the strangers face for a brief moment more before delicate hands reached up to push the veil back, blood long dried seemed to be so articulately placed on his features. Yes, his. Although from the back he was commonly as easily mistaken for a female due to his long hair that was always tied into space buns and feminine figure, he was a guy.

Eyes briefly glazing over the tattered "prom" banner, they darted around the place lazily before closeting, he tuned into the soft crackling of the fire, he drowned out broken voices calling and begging, ignored as they began reaching to him and clawing at the hem of his dress. No. He would not let them, silence filled the air - to silent. He made no acknowledgment of two people slowly walking up to him, stalking, like two wolves pouncing on a lamb. Perhaps he was.

Before either intruder of his sweet silence could comprehend, Grian strikes, quickly barrelling towards the taller of the two. Quickly pinning the other to the floor, a meat clever stained with names he could not remember, his lips curled into a smug smile at the strained shock whine he heard before lazily opening his eyes to see brown and blue eyes staring back at his gold and yellow ones.

"Hello Taurtis" he nodded at the other with a sense of carefreeness "Sam" he acknowledged. Watching as the latter doubled down laughing, he let a bemused huff as he observed his two best friends.

"We were so close this time!" Taurtis whined playfully, Grian looked at him skeptically; "Close? Doll I could basically hear you from miles away with all that giggling - do you two really have to try and pounce me every time you see me, are you really that seperation anxiety riddled?" he teased back. The ocean haired boy looked ready to protest before an look of mischief flashed in his eyes and Grian groaned internally for what was coming next; "But~ Clearly you like us pouncing" his eyes darting down and it clicked that he was practically straddling the other, "I mean if you want-" and with that, the boy received a playful smack as Grian deadpanned "Mind out of the gutter."

The two loving pains in his side giggled as he got up, a faint flush in his cheek before offering a hand at his companion who took it and brushed down his own dress. Taurtis wore an a typical 90s prom dress that barely covered his knees, scandalous I know, a dark blue cardigan tied around his waist, his ocean shoulder length hair tied into a low ponytail. He wore almost ballet esc shoes, that were stained in their own dark red. Around his neck he wore a lighter on a chain and a diamond shaped blood vial that he practically had to beg Grian to give him. They each had one, along with a short braid on the right side of their face that was woven with locks of from each respectively - as sign of coven, of family, a bond thicker than water.

"Gri Griiiiiii" Sam whined, "My feet hurtttt." He rolled his eyes at his complaining counterpart. "Well, I told you not to wear those heels AND run" be shot back, which was acknowledged with a grumble. Sam wore a Jessica rabbit esc outfit that was pink instead of the iconic red, pink platformers, a red leather coat around his waist which was clearly stolen from him, a feather boa around his shoulders and pink hair tied into a ponytail with a red bow, the same braid with on the right side of his face and lastly a parrot skull necklace with a heart vial stringed along with it. Grians one was a simple bottle shape, plastic yellow stars looped through the metal chain. He also wore a black heart locket chocker.

Grian rolled his eyes and turned around, bending his knees slightly. Sam squealed happily and practically pounced onto his back, thank god he bent his knees or the impact would have killed him. He sighed contently as the two practically clung to his side, he hummed as they exited the rapidly burning school.

Yep. Grian was just your average transfer student with average grades and a not so average job and not so average friends but at least he has average mental health issues. This is fine, this is average and normal.

Who is he kidding? He's carrying a 7'0 clingy wererabbit hybrid (which frankly he wouldn't understand how a rabbit and a werewolf would have a kid but he keeps that to himself, he'd had met Sams dad, an odd rabbit hybrid that clearly gave Sam the autism - a terrible crime, I know. Then again he doesn't actually know if Sam is part wolf he's just made the guess because he has rabbit ears and set of wolf like teeth) with an equally clingy 6'8 werewolf hybrid latched onto his arm all while he was a average 5'8 Ferret hybrid (but they didn't need to know that - for all they knew, he was human), he should be the one getting carried but he rather die than admit that not because he's emotionally constipated or anything like that. Well, at least he wasn't riddled with separation anxiety like his two best friends, honestly he could understand their need for pack but making it so that Grian isn't can't leave them alone for more than 4 hours? Homophobic in his opini- wait, he means heterophobic because he isn't gay. Sure, he's not attracted to women but he's got a girlfriend - Jamie, who's honestly not the greatest but those two don't need to know the finer details, as long as grian has the power of make up - they'll never know, right?
