The world was fuzzy as loud ringing echoed through espio's senses
firm metal claws gripped his arms as he was dragged into enemy lines, knees scuffed the floor but his body was still quite unfocused to take in the pain
eyes wavered to see the world of greens and blues turn to dark greys of metals
Not that he could examine the infrastructure in closer detail as his body was dragged up to bring him back to his feet
breathing deeply to focus, he was confused to see he had been brought to a corridor where a large TV began to flicker on
displaying the man that the ninja loathed to his very core
satan incarnate, Dr ivo eggman robotic
"Ho, ho, ho, welcome you 5 lucky subjects" the Eggman began to announce
(5?) Espio questioned dizzily
"you all have been chosen due to your skills proving worthy of becoming assets to the Eggman empire " Eggman explained with a grinning sneer a look that made the chameleon feel very exposed and uncomfortable
But as the doctor talked the wall in front of him began to open
The robot with no hesitance dragged his arm once more, so hard it was threatening to dislocate
with a low growl, espio commanded his feet to avoid that fate
not that he had a choice as once the robot believed he was in enough, shoved him on the ground
it didn't surprise him to hear the sound of a metal lock behind him
but a new voice from above him did give him a surprise
"Now please listen closely to the pre-recorded audio specific for you pests" Eggman's more threatening tone continued
there was a slow pause before the wicked man's voice continued to speak but with a more crackly tone, indicating this part of a pre-recorded message
"Subject 4, Espio the chameleon, ultimate ninja master and detective, greatest fear eleutherophobia and claustrophobia" Eggman listed, exposing the ninja's truest vulnerabilities
"you are in a room that will progressively shrink every day until it becomes unbearable, but to reset, all you have to say is a series of words in any order, as long as it includes "sorry, please, no and Dr Eggman" Eggman explained further with sinister glee at his plan
(what on Mobius?) Espio questioned in confusion
it may be his brain still recovering but he could just not make sense of what he was being told or even what Eggman's plans could benefit him
"more information shall be given in due time, but for now, get comfortable, while you can" Eggman added with the tone of a man who had already won
and with that threat came a loud click, announcing the recordings ending
