Just The Two Of US - A Sokeefe Oneshot (Part 2)

Keefe's POV

"Wait." Keefe said as he grabbed Sophie's arm. She froze, staring at him through her big brown eyes. Adorable, beautiful brown eyes. 

"Whatever you're going to say, I feel the same way," he said. Sophie frowned. Suddenly, her eyes widened.

"Did...did you just read my... my emotions?" She whispered. Keefe nodded silently. Sophie stared at him for a second. Then, she grabbed both his hands and looked right into his eyes. She opened her mouth to say something, then ———

"Bam!" The door burst open. Sophie and Keefe immediately broke apart as his dad strode into the room. Keefe glanced at the door and saw Ro casting him a guilty look as she mouthed the words, "Sorry, Hunkyhair!"

He shook his head and turned to his dad.

"Seriously? You couldn't knock?" he asked his dad. 

"I didn't realised I needed permission to enter a room in my house," he said. Keefe rolled his eyes and glared at him. "Get out." he said. Keefe's dad raised an eyebrow at Sophie before striding out.

"C'mon, let's go to Havenfield," Sophie said, hooking an arm around Keefe. Keefe blushed and took her hand as they walked out with Sandor and Ro behind them.

There was an awkward sort of silence as they walked towards the front yard.

"Umm... Foster?" Keefe said.

"Yeah?" Sophie said, smiling slightly at him.

"So. Are we like... y''know... a ..." Keefe said, trailing off.

 Couple?

Suddenly, Sophie's voice filled Keefe's head, causing him to start.

They stopped in their tracks and made eye contact.

Yeah, I guess. Keefe thought, smirking when Sophie's eyes lit up. She was adorable.

Really? Sophie transmitted, reminding Keefe that she could hear his thoughts.

"AWWWW! Aren't they cute, Gigantor?" Ro's voice emanated from behind them.

Sophie flushed and Keefe backed up a step, turning to see Ro giving him a smile, showing all her pointed teeth.

Suddenly, Keefe felt a gentle hand on his shoulder. It was Sophie. "C'mon, let's go," she smiled sweetly at him and pulled him into the light.
