Chapter 11 ~ Lovers

A week into them being lovers and Zhongli seemed a lot more comfortable. He did tell Childe that he honestly felt safer and calmer. Upon his wishes to keep this all a secret for the sake of Childe’s reputation, the ginger unwillingly agreed. Being one of the most handsome CEOs meant that Childe would be happy to finally say ‘look. I’m taken’. Zhongli did need some time to adjust but at least Childe got his room back. And he got another pillow. Now, they were cuddling in the bed early in the morning as Baizhu had just called.

“Love?” Childe lifted Zhongli’s chin as he was buried in his chest. He already got used to calling him by pet names and he found it endearing whenever he got flustered.

“Mmm?” Zhongli blinked sleepily at him. It seems he was getting too comfortable and was falling asleep.

“I need to go to work now…” Childe caressed his cheek.

“No…” Zhongli mumbled before burying his face back in his chest.

“Bunny…You can come along.” Childe sighed as he pushed Zhongli off. He seemed to visibly brighten at this request. He got off and the 2 began to get ready for work.

“Big brother!” Teucer ran up to Childe as they were about to leave.

“What is it Tuecer?” Childe bent down to his height.

“Can we follow you to work today?” The small boy was bouncing on his heels.

“I don’t see why not.” Zhongli smiled as he picked him up. Childe sighed in resignation and beckoned for Anthon and Tonia to come along. Zhongli's own kids followed behind them. They all got in Childe’s car with a bit of a squeeze and drove off.

“Good morning sir.” Ekatarina greeted him. Childe nodded back in acknowledgement before heading to his office. The other 9 soon followed him. She smiled as the thought that they looked like a big family crossed her mind before she went back to work.

"I'll be here doing work. Tell me if you need anything or want to do anything." Childe told Zhongli as he sat down at his desk. The brunette nodded in acknowledgement before heading out of the room with Tonia, Teucer and Anthon at his heels. Venti and Ei wanted to meet up with him that day and had texted him to wait at one of the rooms.

"Aether! Get over here!" A girl with short blonde hair had entered the room. She had golden eyes and the sweetest smile. She came dragging a boy who looked exactly like her except he had a long braid.

“Lumine!” The blonde boy yelled. He stopped when his eyes trailed to Zhongli, sitting on the couch reading. And not to mention the fact he was surrounded by children. He looked up from his book to see who had entered the room.

“May I help you?” Zhongli asked the twins. Xiao, who had been resting against his leg, woke up.

“Huh? Who’s there?” He snapped his head around.

“Well, since you asked, I’m Aether and this is Lumine! And we are looking for Childe? Do you know him?” The blonde boy asked. He had a smile on his face. Zhongli saw out of the corner of his eye a quickly reddening Xiao. Or at least he thinks so.

“He’s in his office but feel free to hang around us. I don’t think we mind extra company?” The brunette gave them a warm smile. Ganyu, who was also napping, woke up and nodded. Stretching her arms out, she accidentally bonked Hu Tao on the head.

“Oh! Sorry, Tao Tao!” She began to rub her sister’s forehead.

“It’s fine Yu. Ooh! Who are these?” Hu Tao excitedly ran up to the twins.

“Aether. Lumine.” Xiao answered pointing at who the names belonged to.

“Wow Xiao-Xiao. So nice.” Hu Tao pouted. The dark haired male rolled his eyes at her and went back to resting on his father’s leg. Aether giggled at the chaos and sat down next to Xiao. Zhongli swore he could feel his leg heating up. Small conversations were struck up between them until Venti, Ei, Kazuha, Miko and a girl he did not recognize came into the room.

“BARBATOS! CONTROL YOURSELF!” Ei was yelling at Venti as he barged in the room. He stuck his tongue out at the braided girl and that just infuriated her even more.

"Beelzebul, Barbatos." Zhongli said firmly. They immediately stopped their antics.

"Sorry Morax." Venti chuckled nervously. Zhongli rolled his eyes and went back to reading.

"We're supposed to go out, no?" Miko reminded them. Xiao, Ganyu, Hu Tao and Qiqi all left. Zhongli told them to go out first and that he would join them later. He went to Childe's office to tell him about his leave.

"Love?" The brunette peered into his boyfriend's room. He was there, hunched over some paperwork. He looked up at who had just entered his room.

"Bunny! You came!" Childe excitedly got up from his chair and hugged the brunette. The other giggled lightly and accepted the kiss.

"As much as I would like to stay, Ei and Venti want to go out. I'll be back soon." Zhongli reluctantly pulled himself away and went to the door again.

"Aww...Make sure to call me if needed." Childe gave a light peck on the other's forehead before letting him go and leave his office. Zhongli now went to join the people waiting for him outside.
