Charlie didn't waste any time slamming down a load of cash onto the table and grabbing my hand. He practically dragged me with how fast he was walking and how wide his strides were compared to mine.

"Hmm someone's eager." I smirked allowing him to whisk me away. It felt different to feel his hand intertwined with mine and I didn't mind it.

He never responded to my teasing only opening my side of the door before entering his.

"You want to tell me where the hell were going?" I asked suspiciously. I knew the directions to Harper's house and the way he was going is nowhere close.

He finally answered as we sped down the long narrow dark roads. "We're going somewhere called patience you ever heard of it?" He replies sarcastically never taking his eyes off the road.

I rolled my eyes "I don't like surprises Charlie for all I know you could be driving me to my death." I muttered the last part, but I guess he still heard everything I said.

He chuckles at my joke showing a small smile. "If I really wanted you dead." He looks towards me staring into what felt like my soul. "You already would be." He was so confident when he spoke until it was almost chilling.

"I must be doing something right considering I'm still here." I said with a lustful look in my eyes.

He only snickered shaking his head in what seemed to be disbelief that he was placed in such a situation as this.

He didn't say anything else only staring straight ahead and focusing on the road. I didn't have the slightest clue to where we were going the woods around us gave no sense of familiarity to me.

"Can you just tell me where were going now?" I groaned.

"Just look for yourself." He says pulling into a dirt road that was pitch black dark. I mean you couldn't see anything but suddenly I begin to see beams of light peeking through until it was everywhere.

He pulled up to the edge of a hill and in front of us was almost the whole city, full of bright lights and the traffic below. There were trees all around with no were to park but he had found a way right in the center.

"It's beautiful." I said in a daze. I'm sure my eyes were glowing in amazement as the lights shined across my face in the dark of the night.

Don't even get me started on the stars it was all too much and yet it was everything.

"Peaceful, isn't it?" He asked stepping out of the car just as I did with him. While it was in fact night the lights provided enough that I could still see him.
