Sometimes he would begin to wonder if he would ever take over the world.
Whenever he thought of the possibility that he might not, it
brought tears to his eyes
and an ache to his heart,
so he tried not to think about it.
He had been tortured by trauma.
The helplessness turned his pain into anger.
He took it out on the world.
He took it out on himself.
He took it out on the mouse he loved most.
Sometimes he pondered this.
The guilt he felt was unbearable.
When he ruled the world, he vowed to give Pinky whatever he wanted.
