Iris's POV: Hi! My name is Iris Williams. I'm a young girl who grow up in England but has recently moved to Japan due to my father's work. I'm really happy about the move because, I've always been fascinated with Japanese culture. Granted, most of my exposure to Japan came from anime and the manga I would occasionally read, but it doesn't change the fact that I found Japan very interesting and I have always wanted to go there. Though I never thought I would move here. Anyways, I'm very excited to start my new life in Japan!

3rd Person POV: It has been a few days since Iris had transferred and she has been doing well. Haru and his friends were a little worried that she would have some trouble keeping up in class but she has shown that she can handle the work. It was a normal day at school and the students of 1-A were currently having a self study period due to their teacher being out with a cold. While some students did study, many chose to goof off and relax. Iris was one of the few students who were actually studying. She was reading a book that talked about the history of Japan and how it became the country it is now. Haru noticed what Iris was reading and tapped on her shoulder to get attention. "Huh? Oh hello Haru, is there something you need?" asked Iris as she turned around to talk to Haru, "Oh, it's nothing like that. It's just that I couldn't help but notice that you're reading a book about Japan's history. You really seem to like it." said Haru as he rested on his arms. "Yeah, I really do like it. I've always been fascinated by Japan and the culture behind it. I'm a little embarrassed to admit it but my first introduction to Japanese culture was through anime." "Ah, don't be embarrassed. I'm sure that's how many people are exposed to Japan." "Thanks for being understanding." "No problem. You know if you want, me and my friends can show you around the city so you can experience what it's like." "You would do that?" "Sure, I see no reason not to." "Oh thank you so much, I deeply appreciate it." "Like I said, it's no problem.

As Iris turned around to continue reading, Haru pulled out his phone and sent a message to the group to talk about something during lunch. Cut to later when it's lunchtime, the group has gathered and Haru begins to explain everything. "And that's pretty much the case. So, I was wondering if any of you would be interested in showing Iris around the city, so she could experience Japanese culture." said Haru. The girls looked at him for a bit before smiling and giving their answer. "I'm alright with doing that." "So am I." "I'll be sure to be there." "I won't be busy that day, so I'm down for it." "If it means we can make a new friend, sure." "I guess I'll come along." "I-I would also like to come as well." "Alright then, so it's agreed, we'll give Iris a tour on Saturday and give her a good time." "Alright!" Meanwhile, in a different part of the school, Iris sneezed loudly. "Weird, I feel like someone is talking about me." When lunch was over and it was time for class again, Haru told Iris all the information she needed to know for her tour of the city. "Thank you for telling me. I'm still trying to get used to the area." whispered Iris "It's no problem. Just remember to meet us at the station at 10:00." replied Haru "Got it. 10:00." When school was over and all the students left for the day, Iris was skipping home happily. "This is so exciting, I'm actually going to tour the city! I wonder what's in store for me? I simply can't wait!" Iris continued to skip home, not caring at all about the stares she received from her outburst.

~A Few Days Later~

It was officially Saturday and Iris was all dressed and ready to meet the group at the station. As she put her shoes on, a voice spoke from behind her. "Where are you going?" Iris looked behind her and saw her older brother Ethan. "That's none of your business Ethan. But if you must know, I'm going to meet up with some of my schoolmates and they're going to show me around." replied Iris as she continued to put on her shoes. Ethan smirked at her before saying, "Well then, have fun. Just be sure not to let them know that you're anime loving dork!" Iris became red with anger as she stood up and yelled at her brother. "Shut up you jerk!" Iris fumed as she watched her brother walk away laughing. 'Don't let him get to you Iris. You should just focus on having fun." Iris took a deep breath before leaving the house, on her way to the station. When Iris got to the station, she saw the group and raced over to them. "Hey guys! I'm here!" cried out Iris, grabbing the group's attention. "Hey Iris. Good to see you here. Are you ready to go to the city?" asked Haru "Yes, I'm very much ready." "Alright then, let's get you a ticket and wait for the train." And so, after getting Iris's train ticket, the group waited for the train and as they waited, the group talked to one another and even asked Iris about her family life. "My family consists of me, my mom, dad and older brother Ethan. My dad is a worker for a big company, my mom is a stay at home wife and Ethan is a year older than me. I really hate Ethan as he always called me weird for liking anime and being interested in Japan."

"Well I think it's nice to know that you are interested in Japanese culture, so try not to listen to what your brother says." said Hana "Thanks guys." Eventually, the train arrived and everyone boarded and headed off for the city. They soon arrived at the station and once they got off, they asked Iris what she wanted to do. "I'm not too sure. I do wanna try having real Japanese ramen, not any of that cup noodle nonsense but I'm not sure about anything else." The group thought for a bit until Megumi suggested an idea. "Why don't we show Iris around so she can get a feel of the city." "Hmm, that's actually a pretty good idea. Nice thinking Megumi." said Chiyoko "I like the idea but we should ask Iris if she's alright with that. What do you think, Iris, do you want us to show you around ?" asked Haru. Iris was quiet for a bit before giving her answer. "I would like to do that." "Alright! It's decided then, we're showing Iris around. Come on, let's go!" cried out Kanako as she and Megumi grabbed Iris by the hand and dragged her away, causing the rest of the group to go after them. The group showed Iris around the city and took to different places so she could have a good time; these things included a local arcade, a manga cafe and even a shop that sold trinkets. By the time they had finished sightseeing, they were very hungry and they remembered that Iris said she wanted to have ramen, so they headed to a local ramen shop and decided to eat there. "Wow! So this is what a ramen shop looks like. How interesting." said Iris as she walked up to the vending machine. When she got a good look at it, Iris quickly became overwhelmed by the sight of it; there were so many different choices!

Haru quickly noticed Iris' nervousness and asked what was wrong. "There's so many choices, I don't know what to choose," said Iris awkwardly. Haru understood Iris's struggle; he too had faced the dilemma of trying to figure out what kinda ramen he wanted. "You know if you want, you can order the same thing as me if that will make things easier." said Haru "I wouldn't mind doing that." Iris let Haru order first before ordering the same thing as him. Once they had all ordered, the group all sat down and waited for their order to arrive. As they waited, Iris was asked if she had a good time. "I actually did. I really appreciate it that you guys would be so kind to show me around. It was really nice." "That's good to hear." said Sakura "Hey Iris, we were actually wondering, do you want to be a part of our group? You don't have to join if you don't want to but we would like to be friends with you." said Kanako. Iris was silent for a bit before smiling and saying her answer. "I would love to be friends with you guys." "Alright!" Eventually, their order had arrived and Iris couldn't help but stare at her ramen; amazed by how nice it looked.

"Woah! This ramen looks so nicely done! It's so different from the cup noodles I had in the past

"Woah! This ramen looks so nicely done! It's so different from the cup noodles I had in the past." "Well, I suggest you eat it before it gets cold." said Hana "Oh! Right." Iris grabbed her chopsticks and took her first bite. Iris was amazed by the taste, it was so different from what she had in England. Iris proceeded to savor the flavor of the ramen and managed to finish in just a few minutes. "*sigh* That was wonderful." "You really seemed to like it." commented Asami, which made Iris realize that she had finished before the others, causing her to feel a little embarrassed. "There's no need to be embarrassed. You finishing it so quickly just means you really enjoyed it." said Chiyoko, "I know but it's still embarrassing." The group couldn't help but laugh a little at Iris' sudden shyness. Once they were all finished, they thanked the owner and took their leave. Haru checked the time and realized how late it was getting and decided it was time to head home. As they headed to the station, Iris gave her thanks to everyone for the wonderful time they had given and was happy to now be a new member of their group. As they waited for the train, Yuki made the comment about having to tell Iris about her; to which the group responded with, 'We know Yuki. We'll tell her soon.'
