THE MOON'S REFLECTION (Unrequited Love)

The mood above is as calm as always,
the exact opposite of my heart's beatings.
Its reflections on the clear waters make me feel closer to its bench,
so close and just within my reach.
And yet, it was far and beyond me,
too far and impossible to hold his regime.

I loved the moon, the calm and serene moon.
But it was too much, too deep for me to atone.
It would always belong somewhere, somewhere only the likes of it can enter.
And I would just continue to look up at its supremity,
ignoring the fact that I fell for its clarity.

This reflection of the moon, I will never try to chase and fish out.
For I know in my heart that it'll always belong in the sky's hideout,
beyond my reach, beyond my power.
Beyond what I deserved to hold dear.
Rather than seeing the reflection of the moon,
I'd rather not see the moon at all and move on.

I'd rather accept the reality that it will never be within my touch.
It will stay where it belongs, above the vast sky where no one can catch,
and I'll stay where I should be, below where my feet are on the grounds.
The moon will continue to light up the night skies with no bounds,
casting its reflection on the clear waters by the river,
and I'll turn a blind eye to its reflection, forgetting the time when I was once a believer.
