Halloween

As I lay awake and the curtains flap 

It's no lie that she has arrived

I turn over to my Halloween decorated wall

And cry myself to sleep

When I wake up it's the 31st

The EXACT day she left

I get into costume around 5:00 and wait

But why am I waiting?

She's not coming is she?

"Wake up."

Wh-Who said that?

"WAKE UP I SAID."

Huh? what do they mean wake up?

"WAKE UP!"

"OH GOD PLEASE ****** WAKE UP!"

There were clear sobs in the background 

But why do I need to wake up?

I am awake and I just need her to arrive

"OH DEAR SWEET ****** PLEASE WAKE UP"

My eyes open.

But where am I?

What day is it

I look around.

Dad asleep, Mom crying, and wait Jay?

She's dead she sacrificed herself for me...

...Why is she here?

"M-mom? Where am I what day is it?"

"OH MY BABY!"

"You've been in a coma for a year."

"And it's Halloween day, Monday October 31st."

Halloween already?

No.

I wake up drenched in sweat

Huh it was all a dream.

I laugh to myself for thinking she was alive

"Welcome back it's been awhile huh?"

Jay ....it wasn't a dream

But she died on

 Halloween
