Y/n pov

Like normal, I woke up. Except, Moon wasn't there.

'I guess he woke up before me.'

I get out of bed, but I couldn't help but smell something good. I walk to the kitchen and see Moon making pancakes.

"I didn't know you could cook! Smells great~"

My smile immediately drops once he turns his head to look at me. He had the most broken expression I have ever seen him make. He looked like he was on the verge of tears.

"Thanks..."

I walk up to him with a worried face. He looks off to the side, avoiding my gaze.

"Moon what's wrong?"

He was muttering, so I couldn't hear him. But I did here one thing.

"...birthday..."

"Birthday? Who's birthday?"

"Sun... Today is the day he was first turned on... "

He turns his body away from me and instead focuses on his cooking.

"He likes pancakes..."

Oh...

"Are you done cooking?"

"Yes..."

"Ok..."

I suddenly grab the pancakes and out them in a container.

"Hey! That's for... F-for..."

He freezes up to think who he made it for. But I knew.

"For Sun."

Time skip

"I haven't been in the ball pit in a while..."

He was hesitating to go down the slide.

"Don't care~"

I out my hands on his shoulders and suddenly push him down the slide. I decided to stay back. This is between the two of them.

Moon pov

I get out of the ball pit and dust off my disguise.

"YOU BITCH"

"MOO-Oh. Sorry friend. I thought you were someone else."

I wasn't wearing my mask... Y/n has it...

I take a deep breath in, then let it out.

"Friend?"

"Friend... It's been a while since you called me that..."

I chuckle and turn around, but before I could even look at him, I'm suddenly tackled to the ground in a hug.

"This is probably pathetic... It's only been a few day-OW"

I smack him on the back of the head to shut him up.

"You say such stupid things~"

He rolls his eyes and hugs me tighter.

"Well, you look ugly without your hat~"

"Don't test me~"

He chuckles and pulls away, still sitting. He cups my cheeks and inspects my face.

"What are you doing?"

"Just making sure this isn't a dream..."

"What would make you think that?"

"You're acting nice~"

"Yeah~ Something I should have done a long time ago..."

"You are a jerk at times..."

"Rude much~"

He chuckles and gets up, then helps me up.

"I should get to Y/n."

"Oh! She's here?"

"Yeah. It was her idea~"

We open the door, revealing Y/n with a smile on her face, waiting for us. I put on my hood and walk out.

"Happy birthday Sun!"

"Thanks!"

I smile at him and grab her and, then we stet walking away, leaving Sun.

Sun pov

Just like old times~

I was about to head back in the daycare, buy before I could turn around, Moon calls out to me as he gets farther away.

"HEY BIRTHDAY BOY! FETCH"

"Wha-AH"

WHAT DID HE THROW AT ME?!

I pick up the container and stare at it for a moment. I look back up, but they were already gone.
