Our story begins in the country of Azerbaijan. A country located by the Caspian Sea and Caucasus Mountains, which span Asia and Europe. Its capital, Baku, is famed for its medieval walled Inner City. Within the Inner City lies the Palace of the Shirvanshahs, a royal retreat dating to the 15th century, and the centuries-old stone Maiden Tower, which dominates the city skyline. And it's here in the city of Baku where this years Azerbaijan Formula 1 Grand Prix takes place. Speaking of which let's get to the race shall we.

Crofty: And it's lights out and away we go! Hamilton get's an excellent start, Valtteri Bottas under pressure already. And there's maybe trouble at the back as the Mercedes go wheel to wheel into turn 1.

Crofty: But Bottas just ahead of Hamilton, ahead of Vettel. Perez challenging Max Verstappen, they manage to get safely into turn 1 and 2. As Bottas has that lead but his teammate haring right behind him as he moves to the side down towards turn 3. It's Bottas and Hamilton, Vettel, Perez to Verstappen and Y/N Herta who's already alongside the McLaren of Lando Norris both rookies having a great start. Bottas however managing to just keel Lewis at bay

De Resta: Aw that was wheel to wheel, Mercedes rubbing their hands together because they could've come together. Great start by Sergio Perez he's managed to jump Verstappen, that's really gonna hamper his progress but i'll tell you what where's Charles Leclerc-Oh look here he is at the back next to Ricardo in the Renault
Crofty: Ricardo having started two places behind Leclerc has managed to work his way up this time alongside the Ferrari

Crofty: I'll tell you what though Formula 1 rookie Y/N Herta is having a mega race in that Toro Rosso, having started P6 on the grid has worked his way up and is now leading ahead of Lando Norris in the McLaren as he leads him into turn turn 16
