Chapter 5: packet Rush

"Hey! Alyssa! Stop running! I have your stuff!" I heard Caleb yell while he was running towards the parking lot. I stopped when I reached my moms chair and rested on it. "Are you alright and what's the hurry?" He asked me. I couldn't reply because i was breathless, and too tired to talk. "Look, umm I'm sorry about what happened in the library. I didn't mean to ignore you like that", he stated. I barely could talk but I told him it was alright. He then asked me did I need some water, and I replied with a yes. He turned around towards the black Chevy Tahoe and opened the truck to get a bottle of water out of a cooler. I couldn't take this anymore. First of all, I ended up with my crush who had to help me with my work, then I found out my best friend Austin is gay, and now I just found out that I parked next to my crush who I want to marry. He passed me a cold bottle of water and I dranked it until it was half empty. "Whoa. Umm. So, umm. Are you going to tell me what happened?" Caleb replied questionably with a concerned expression on his face. "Is that your truck?" I asked. "Yeah, well not really. It's my dad's. He just lets me drive it to school since he has another new truck." Caleb replied. "Oh", I replied, "it's nice by the way." "Well thanks. You know I can take you for a ride if you wan-". I choked while I was finishing the rest of my water, and in the process of breathing I didn't notice he grabbed my arm. "Hey,Are you alright? Whoa. Your sweating like you have been running a marathon all day today", he said as he looked me in my eyes and pulled off his shirt and wiped my sweat off my face with it gently. Everything moved in slow motion during the whole time. Those muscles I was talking about where there, and he had a six pack that was tightly built."What is it?" He asked as he smoothly wiped my face and looked me in my eyes with his beautiful brown eyes."it's nothing", I said, as he continued to wipe the sweat off my face. "Well",he said, " it's clearly something if your looking at me with your mouth open, partially drooling, and rubbing your fingers across my six pack ." I didn't realized what I was doing, until I looked down and seen exactly what he was talking about. "I'm so sorry", I said," I didn't mean to-." He stopped me in my sentence by placing his index finger over my mouth, and I left my lips in a shape of an "o". He moved closer to me and blushed and said," it's okay. I know Alyssa." I dropped my lips from the "o" shape, because of the way he said my name.it sounded so sexy, I almost let myself go, and told him to say it again. "Alyssa", Caleb said. "Yes Caleb", I replied. "Your phone is ringing", he stated. "I love you too Caleb", I replied in a dreamy-ish voice. Caleb burst out into laughter. "No, I said Your phone is ringing Alyssa", he said. I grew hot and embarrassed at what I said, and I looked at my screen to notice that it was Aria calling me. I picked up. "Where are you Alyssa!? I have been waiting on you to come pick me up from school to take me to the dentist for ten minutes now, and you haven't replied to none of my texts nor calls", she added sounding vexed. "I'm sorry, I got busy, and I'm leaving school now to come get you", I stated before I hanged up. "I have to go. Umm see you around?" I told Caleb. "Yeah I will see you around" Caleb added. I got in the car and was about to drive off, until Caleb called my name again. "Alyssa! Here, you forgot your stuff", he said as he handed them to me. "Oh, thanks." I replied as I was about to drive off again Caleb shouted," I like you too Alyssa" shooting a handsome smile at me. My body temperature rose as I drove off trying to calm down. I was speeding and I didn't realize until Aria complained about it.
"SLOW DOWN! THE SPEED LIMIT IS THIRTY FIVE AND YOUR GOING FIFTHY!! Aria exclaimed. I looked at the gauge and started to slow down, but it was too late. A police officer pulled me over. "OH MY GOSH ALYSSA!!! I'M GOING TO BE EVEN MORE LATE FOR MY DENTIST APPOINTMENT NOW!!" Aria yelled. "Calm down", I said shaking because this was going to be my first ticket. The officer stayed positioned in his car for three to four minutes, and got out of his cruiser. He was a tall Caucasian guy with blonde hair who was also married. He had very good traits, but It wasn't time for me to observe him even more because he was at my window. "Hey, how are you doing ma'am?" The officer spoke. "I'm fine," I replied. "I need to see your license and registration ma'am", he spoke in a calm manner. Before I asked Aria to open the glove department I seen that his name tag said Officer Walker. He scanned the papers and then gave them back to me. "Ma'am, are you unaware that you were speeding?" He replied almost in a stern manner. Before I could say anything, his phone ringed and he excused himself to answer his call. "Is that even okay for them to do that?" Aria asked me. "I don't know" I answered her. He came back to the window and went back to his squad car to retrieve a book. "Look, I'm going have to let you go with a warning this time", he said. "My son, Caleb, wanted me to give this to you. He said you left it in the school's parking lot, driving off in a hurry." He handed me my book and then told me to drive, safe, and walked back to his car and drove off. From that day forward, I drove slower and 5 mph below the speed limit. We arrived at the dentist and Aria got her braces in, and we left and went home.
