sadies perspective :

It was just like any another normal day at school, I was in class with my best friend chiara. our teacher gave us an assignment to do, I had already finished so I was just practicing my interview for a school I was applying for, I wanna go to the best of the best so I can get a good look once I apply to college, I want to go to harvard it's been my dream ever since I was a baby
my thoughts were interrupted by the sound of the bell.

finally, it was about time this day ended

I started walking out of class with sophie.
"hey catch you later sadie, I have orchestra practice" chiara stated

I nodded and started heading towards my locker. I dropped my book while I was walking and stumbled down to pick it up.

"Madame Bovary, good choice" an unfamiliar voice spoke.
"sorry?" I replied as I looked up I saw a tall dreamy boy.

"I mean the movies good" he smiled

"yeahh..." I replied gosh I was so awkward

"i'm Noah by the way, noah schnapp my family just moved here from New York" he stated

"cool. Im sad-"

"I know who you are I've seen you around"
I raised an eyebrow
" I didn't mean that in a weird creepy way, I just meant your in a lot of my classes and you just to pretty to not notice" he smiled

my stomach crawled with butterflies as I heard those words, god he was bold.

"well than see you around noah.." I shifted to the side about to walk away.

he reached out to grab my shoulder
"hey wait one more thing, you seem pretty smart do you know anywhere I can find maybe a job" he asked

"how flattering, not a place exactly but you should go ask Miss Patty, everyone knows her. she works at the ballet and music center down murray ave. I explained

"Oh thanks but im not really a musical theatre person" he cringed

"your funny, I just meant she knows like everyone in this small town and can hook you up with a job real quick."

"oh well thanks sadie"

I smiled and continued my walk to my locker.

I had to rush, I was supposed to meet for coffeee with my mom 10 minutes after school but I just wasted 5 of those minutes talking to that dreamyyy Noah.

I grabbed my books and shoved them in my bag, not even zippering it half way, and threw my jacket over my shoulder as I speed walked down the road.

and finally I made my way to the fanciest place in all of stars hollow.......Luke's diner 🫶

I sat down quickly out of breath across from my mother on the tiny table.

"jeez what's wrong with you, did you join track?" My mother Lorelai said sarcastically.

"now everyone knows that's beyond my athletic level, I can barley walk I think I may have 2 left feet" I said truthfully

"hey well at least your smart" she joked

"At leastttttt"

"okay well sadie while I was working I got some amazing news" my mom spoke

" my definition of amazing and your definition of amazing differ broadly so." I snarked

"Okay well let's just say it's a great opportunity for the better."

"oh god." My face turned red. "AM I MOVING TO DADS?!?!" I said worryingly

"god no" mom spoke "it's good news"

"okay hit me with it." I said up top

"you've been given a spot at chilton!" mom exclaimed

"what no way!! but it's october why am I going now" I asked

"well they had an open spot."

"ah so I'm a replacement, a second choice"

"oh sadie relax u got accepted that's all that matters" my mother reassured
I shrugged

As we walked home from Luke's we passed by Miss Pattys Ballet Center.

I used to go there, LETSS just say it was not for me.

"hi lorelai and hellooo sadie my Gilmore girls!!!" Miss patty said

"catch ya later patty, me and Sadie have some planning to do. she just got accepted to chilton!

ugh here we go my mom was gonna tell the whole world that I'm so awkwardly smart I have to go to a school in a totally different town I'm such an outcast. I started at her annoyed.

"ur kidding, congratulations sweet poo" miss party replied

I put on a fake smile.

we started walking until she spoke again.

"Oh sadie I almost forgot, tell that boy I found a job at him at the market. so generous of you for helping him find me" she winked

oh good.

"A boy" my mom turned

"aw he's a cute fella and very polite" miss patty reassured..
I walked off from the scene slowly.

"Mhmmm well thanks patty" mom said as she started walking closer to me....

"a boy?????" My mom said
