I know I haven't been the best mother but am I so wrong for wanting to protect my little girl? I mean It is my fault she got raped, had I just told her the truth she wouldn't have ran off. Ever since almost losing her I vowed to myself that I will always protect her no matter what. You know that feeling you get when you meet someone for the first time and suddenly the hairs on the back of your neck stand up? Yeah well that's the feeling I got the first time I met Samke and it's the same feeling I always get when I see her or come into contact with her. There's just something evil about that woman and you don't need to be a prophet to know that. It was past 4 already and Anam wasn't home yet. I called Sipho, maybe she was at his place.
//Me: hey baby
Him: hey mom. How are you?
Me: I'm good my love and how are you?
Him: wishing you could treat me like the man I am
Me: what are you on about?
Him: Anam's the baby and not me woman
Me: call me woman one more time and I'll slap you through this phone boy
Him: I love you lady
Me: speaking of my other baby. Is she sleeping over at your place?
Him: what? NO mom I'm out of town, I saw her dozen missed calls from earlier on and when I tried to call her it just goes straight to voicemail
Me: what are you talking about?
Him: I'm in East London with my Mentor mom.
Me: she's supposed to home already but she isn't and its getting dark
Him: try one of her friends, they should know where she is
Me: ok thanks. //
I was panicking. It's not like Anam to just switch her phone off, something had to be wrong. I could feel it. I called Buhle and she answered after a while
//Her: hello Ma
Me: hey baby how are you?
Her: I'm good Ma and how are you?
Me: good. Is Anam with you?
Her: no, I haven't seen her since yesterday
Me: did she at least mention where she was going?
Her: she was accompanying Marcel to catch a taxi to Durban I think. Why?
Me: she's not answering her phone; it goes straight to voicemail. Can you send me Marcel's number?
Her: I'm sorry Ma I don't have his but I have Robin's
Me: that will do to
Her: ok I'll text it to you
Me: thank you//
I dropped the call and went out to the lounge waiting for Buhle's text and it came in after a few minutes.
Mom: you going to be late
Me: Nam's phone goes straight to voicemail. I'm worried about her ma
Her: No. not Nam. Try calling her again
Me: I want Marcel's number from Robin. Maybe they still in Mthatha together or something
Her: ok call Robin then
I called the number and it rang a few times before someone answered.
//Her: hello
Me: hello Robin this is Anam's mother
